Create Box Note from Template from any folder page in Box
example folder structure: Departments > Marketing > Budget > 2015
Then hit new > Box Note > from Template
This allows the new Box Note to live within the folder you are already at instead of selecting destination at creation or moving later on
5 votesYou can now create a template from within the Box Web App and have it saved in the folder you are currently in. More details here -https://community.box.com/t5/Creating-and-Editing-Box-Notes/Using-Templates-in-Box-Notes/ta-p/42407

Improve copy and paste behavior
Improve how elements are positioned when you duplicate them. For example, place a duplicated post-it in the next 'row' position, rather than overlapping the initial post-it. This would make the creation of boards for workshops much faster.

We’re incredibly excited to announce read-only and pre-fill fields in Box Sign, now available to all Box Sign customers! With pre-fill fields, you can pre-fill data within specific fields prior to sending documents. Additionally you can toggle certain fields as read-only, locking field data and preventing it from being modified by signers.
Learn more about read-only and pre-fill fields in this Box Sign article.
Senders can pre-populate data into read-only fields when leveraging Box Sign APIs for prefill tags or the batch send feature, when inputting data into the custom CSV. Now you can leverage Box Sign for high volume use cases with greater control over field data, like employee handbooks, compensation plans, and much more. Template tags will support read-only fields as well, enabling senders with a more streamlined sending experience.

Add an option to File Request only for managed users
We would like to gather files from internal managed users avoiding spoofing. Currently, one way is to use collaboration as uploader permission but uploader can still see file name each other where multiple users are collaborated. We need to make users authenticate and do not want to let them see information of other's uploaded files.
4 votesthe file request can be setup to support only allowing managed users.

Simplify "File Request" window
I have users on my team still using ShareFile to specifically "request files" from external people because the process is simpler. Three key suggestions for the Box "File request" feature:
1) Can you streamline the pop-up window to focus on the "link" versus the embed widget link. 2) Expose the option/checkbox of the requestor to receive an email when the content is uploaded.
3) Allow the requestor to adjust the expiration date. Default would be tied to the admin link share policiesThanks!

File Request Link should be modified by Admin or Co-admin
Currently, only file request link creator can delete the created link. But, it should be controlled by at least Admin/Co-admin as a security stand point of view.
4 votesIt is possible to delete File Request links from the admin console. Please see the link below for more details.

Idea: develop more ways to receive 2-step verification code (email address or application on smart phone )
Recently, I did not receive 2-step verification code through SMS to log in my Box account, so I had to request support from Box team to disable 2-step verification in my Box account. I know that without 2-step verification, my Box account is less secure. Please consider the following idea: (i) add another way that we can receive 2-step verification code such as the email address, or (ii) develop the application on smart phone (e.g. iOS, Android phones) that generates 2-step verification code for Box account. Thank you (PS: I just move from BoxSync to BoxDrive, so I decide to…

Retain completed tasks in the Notification CEnter
We would like to find tasks completed by others in our Notifications Center. Right now, Tasks assigned to other users disappear from our list when the task is complete. We want to be able to see completed tasks.
4 votesYou can now view a list of completed tasks in the Tasks Inbox. Click the clipboard icon on your Box homepage, then click “View All Tasks”. From there, you can choose a filter “My Tasks” or “Sent Tasks” to only those that have been completed.

Currently you have to search for open assigned Task by checking your Notification folder or through the notification email as the assignee o
Currently you have to search for open assigned Task by checking your Notification folder or through the notification email as the assignee or by remembering the assigned file as the delegator. Could we have a “Task” folder that links us to all associated open Task as the delegator or assignee?
4 votesThis suggestion has been delivered and is generally available (GA). You can find all open tasks assigned to you in the new Task Center. You can get to a list of all tasks you’ve ever been assigned (regardless of status), or all tasks you have assigned to someone else by clicking “View All Tasks” from the Task Center.

Download view message could be improved.
When users go to a shared link, the notice is "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported". The phrase "not currently supported" is misleading and although there is download button below it, it causes a unnecessary ripple in the users minds as this information is processed. I suggest changing it to "We're sorry, you cannot view this type of file here, but you may download it." Also, it would be nice to have the file name in this message rather than at the top left-hand corner.

Add a date/time stamp when a task is completed or declined
The task manager should be able to see in the comments the date and time when a task was completed or declined.

More efficient way to get metadata on files in search
Search by metadata returns a list of files. That list isn't much use without knowing the metadata it matched. To use Box's metadata for anything past the initial search query that's related to display, each individual search result must be queried for its metadata.
4 votesWe are now in the process of rolling out the new Metadata Query capability to all Box enterprises and expect to be complete by the end of June 2020.

In 2022 Box Web achieved substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0, level AA. Box web includes more features than a.box.com, including the ability to create Box Notes. Going forward, Box will strive to provide a universal experience rather than a separate accessibility site.
In 2023 a.box.com will be retired and all users will use Box Web (app.box.com). We recommend transitioning off of a.box.com as soon as possible.
We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of Box Web and Box Notes.
Any feedback on the usability or accessibility of Box Web is welcome.

The behavior is available in Amsterdam. When you’re inside a folder, the search filter dropdown has a checkbox that says “only search within [folder name]”
