This request cannot practically be implemented as an API. A client needs to control the state of local items on an endpoint such as a user’s computer, much like the Box Drive or Box Mobile clients do today. The only planned supported means for such synchronization capabilities are the Box Drive and Mobile clients.

This is not planned in the near future due to other higher priority initiatives.
An error occurred while saving the comment Deletion progress bar so user can know how far along the deletion of specific content is, or a location where the user can check the status

@Stephen Fowler - currently the Box Dive mount point is able to be changed, but the cache is not. From the article you linked:
"You're only moving the location of the Box Drive mount point. The cache and app data locations remain unchanged. So even though you move the mount location to a hard drive partition other than C:\, you continue to use space in C:\."
