Indicators / Progress Bar for Large Folder Operations (Moves, Ownership Transfers, Delete, Copy)
When doing a move of a large folder or changing the owner of a large folder, users often receive a 'this may take some time' banner notification in the webapp, but that quickly disappears and the user is left wondering... "so...has it finished fully yet?"
REQUEST: Have more indicators (progress bar, e-mail updates, etc.) of progress in the operation, especially for folder moves/ownership transfers.
Example: In our mobile apps, we provide a 'job manager' that shows the user progress when they're performing various actions.
This is not planned in the near future due to other higher priority initiatives.

This is a huge issue where a large amount of data is being moved and it's no longer in the source location, but hasn't completed populating in the destination and there is no indication of where in the process the move is so the user and some co-admins think the data has been deleted and we have to wait "some time" before opening a support case.
BTW, a message of it will take "some time" when starting this type of action helps no one.

Could this be amended to include a mechanism that could prevent accidental move or deletion. There is a check box on AD objects that can be selected that does this. Having this option would save users from accidentally moving folders into other folders.

We're uploading big audiofiles several times aday(ex 1Gb-8Gb per file) and would like to see a more detailed progress bar for the upload. Today it only show a thin line going from 0%-100%. In addition to this we would like info as; Estimated Time, Remaning Time, Upload Speed(in MB/sec), and more..
#progressbar #uploadspeed #remainingtime " -

After following the steps to delete a user and transfer ownership of files, I am horrified to find how long it is taking. The help article needs to clearly state that this could take 24 hours - at the moment it suggests doing it outside of work hours to avoid downtime... Which I did only to find it hasn't completed in the morning!
There needs to be some kind of scale to clearly show what downtime you may face.

This is a huge pain point from the API - when you copy a large folder you have zero ways of ensuring it was completed.

Pairing this idea with the automation request of returning a Job ID that was submitted by another user. This would be great if for example you copy a large folder, and are wondering "is it done" before you can allow other tasks to be performed on the original source folder.
A Job ID would at least give you something to look for.

Deletion progress bar so user can know how far along the deletion of specific content is, or a location where the user can check the status

These actions oftentimes take long periods of time.
