1. API to sync folders for users.

   If we could sync folders directly through our internal web app it would cut several steps out of user workflows. I would love to put a sync slider next to the job line so they could sync directly from this screen.

   Specifically, I am talking about leveraging the tools via APIs. So having an API we could leverage to sync folders down for users.

   This request cannot practically be implemented as an API. A client needs to control the state of local items on an endpoint such as a user’s computer, much like the Box Drive or Box Mobile clients do today. The only planned supported means for such synchronization capabilities are the Box Drive and Mobile clients.

2. Ability to hide the modified date in Content Explorer

   We would like the ability to hide the ‘modified’ column in the Content Explorer UI, and display the name and size of the content only.

   We will not be supporting additional EMM features for Android Device Admin; moving forward, we are supporting EMM feature requests on Android Enterprise.

   APK/Device Admin was announced as deprecated in 2017, and deprecated in last year’s update (P), and this year’s Android update (Q) no longer supports APK/Device Admin at all. From Google: “Starting with Android 9 (API level 28), some admin policies will be marked as deprecated when invoked by a device admin. We recommend you start to prepare now for this change. 4. Box Notes section on mobile app

   Similar to the web version of Box, it would be great to have a button that takes you to all Box Notes. Having this consistency between the web app and the mobile app would help improve the user experience.

   This feature is not on our 2019 roadmap.

5. Quarantined files indicator for Box mobile app

   Quarantined files currently show a red exclamation indicator icon + tooltip “This file is under quarantine” on webapp, but NOT on mobile.

   This is an issue for users (especially external collaborators) who will try to access these quarantined files on mobile, but not understand why they can’t access it.

6. Allow co-owners (not just owners) to extend auto-expiration date for external collaborators.

   The primary reason why we have not enabled the auto-expiration for Collaborators is because only folder Owners will receive notifications of expiring collaborators and links, and only Owners will have the ability to extend the expiration date. In our instance, the Primary BoxAdmin account owns all content (and users are not allowed to create root-level folders, they're only co-owners).

   If this ability were extended to Co-Owners, then this enterprise setting would be feasible for us. It has to be up to the co-owners to receive the notifications and determine whether or not to extend the sharing (since they have the most context and it's not practical for the BoxAdmin to manage this alone).

8. Add Make Available Offline control to Explorer/Finder toolbar

   We are pushing our users to start using Drive instead of Sync. Our helpdesk team brought up that they are concerned that the current UI for MFOing content (right click file, click “Make Available Offline”) is not intuitive for end users. They are requesting a button for “MFO“ to be surfaced on the top toolbar of the Windows Explorer window when an item is selected, so that the option is visible without having to right click the item.

9. Restrict Classification edits to Governance menu

   A admin can access the Classification template in the Metadata page and delete values of classification. That makes errors. Classification should be only accessible via the Governance menu and not via the Metadata menu.

    We would like the ability to save the default view for STL files to save the orientation, render mode, and camera projection within the web preview

    We used to be able to save the default view for STL files within a Box3d Metadata of the file. We no longer have that ability.

11. Remove / Hide avatars when editing a box note

    When editing a Box Note, there is an avatar with my initials that jumps around to wherever my cursor is. I find it very distracting and quite annoying. I can't think of any possible benefit to having this bouncing ball showing me that I'm editing the note. I kind of already know that. If others are editing the same note, it shows that, too. Maybe that's of some limited use, although I don't know what I'd do with that information, other than once again be distracted from what I'm trying to do. So anyway, it'd be great if there were a way to turn this off.

12. Share this Folder

    On a shared (collaborated) folder ensure that the "Share this Folder" option is removed from all external collaborators as testing has shown that it is possible for an external collaborator (even with viewer permissions) to enable sharing and get a copy of the shared link albeit the link defaults to “internal access” only.

    Thanks for the feedback. Per our collaborator permission guidelines, Viewer permissions are able to see and send view-only shared links — however they cannot invite collaborators or modify sharing permissions.

    Our use case requires that group permissions be allowed when using auto-start template with Box Relay. As of right now it only allows for a direct permissions to a folder before publishing the workflow.

    All enhancements and new features will be considered as part of the all new Relay planned for GA on June 26, 2019.

    New feature including group permissions will be evaluated post-GA.

17. Add option to cancel workflow, move files to trash automatically on reject

    On rejecting, the workflow options are to go back to a previous step or to complete the workflow. However, if you reject, you may want the workflow to end and if the file has been rejected you certainly don't want to save it to the approved files directory (this has happened to us recently and caused a problem with a customer). On rejecting there should be a different option - to cancel the workflow and trash the files or auto-select a "rejected documents trashbin folder" in order to avoid accidentally saving rejected files to an approved files directory. This sounds nuanced but actually I think it is a major missing feature.

    On rejecting, the workflow options are to go back to a previous step or to complete the workflow. However, if you reject, you may want the workflow to end and if the file has been rejected you certainly don't want to save it to the approved files directory (this has happened to us recently and caused a problem with a customer). 18. Allow access to embedded file using LEX app (iOS)

    Customer is embedding a url to their iframe. Luckily, they could access the embedded file using their android phones from their LEX application. However, iOS users are not able to access the embedded file using their LEX app. But they can access the URL from their browser
