Because of the downstream impacts, we will not be solving this problem as requested. We will be looking at a more holistic approach to prevent unintended consequences of file operations.

We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap. We are currently prioritizing automatically locking/unlocking files on Box Drive for Office files on Windows. We will revisit this feature in the future.

We often face the troubles about accidental move and lost.
And then Reovering the troubles sometimes affect serious impact on our business activities.
There're frequent Posts warning users against erroneous operations.
However the number of troubles is not decreasing.
Therefore we really hope new function to lock foleders.
