My organization uses Box for large read-only libraries of asset files. I'm revising the process to attach comprehensive metadata to the files, and I wish to use bookmarked search URLs to created canned views.
The metadata search syntax is so verbose that 500 characters get used up quickly. I can gain back characters by saving non-escaped URL strings and excluding a couple non-critical arguments. But the spec for a single metadata field filter can easily take 80 characters.

Why I vote for this: I wish to be able to use my Box Drive as a "working folder" for Box content that is currently relevant to me. I want to screen out the old business and the innumerable FYI collaboration folders I'm added to.

We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap. We will be exploring improvements and enhancements to Tasks in the next 1-2 years and will take this into consideration when we do.

Not being able to comment on folders is simply counterintuitive.

This is a necessary feature for our enterprise. Creative teams work on extremely large project files/folder and marking for offline is critical to performance. However, when local drive space runs short, it's very troublesome to unearth older offline files that can be safely unmarked.
