I also get wrong results, when searching for a string with quote-marks. Sometimes the initial results show the expected item, then ticking box for 'only in ..... ', and the result disappears (even thought the document is in that folder! ..., then clicking Show all results, and the expected item IS in the results!!
Another example, was an item did not appear when in quotes " ", but when removing the closing quote " ... the expected item DOES appear
Please Box, replace you current search function with one that is more robust :)

I've found Search function to be 'hit n miss' at times too. Entering a string in quotes sometimes resulted in no results, but if the last quote mark is removed it finds relevant results.
Equally, with 'only search in .... ' box unticked it finds relevant results in that very folder, yet, when the box is ticked, the result is removed. Subsequently clicking on Show All Results, and the results expected are listed amongst others that are not relevant. !! :(

A box-native metadata table is not currently on the roadmap, but we have launched our metadata query toolkit alongside a content-explorer element that can emulate the same experience.

Good to know that Box tech teams don't have daily tasks that require reporting :) - if this has been researched for 6 months, the least that Box team could do would be to explain WHY it is not planned. Reporting code hard-wired? Look-up common to other reports ?
