Google-Box Integration: Allow "Add to Box" for files over 25GB sent via email
My team uses Box for Gmail and enjoys the functionality. However, when they’re receiving an incoming email with a file attached over 25GB, Google converts this file into a link instead of keeping it an attachment. When they click the Box integration to save it to Box, they can’t, because it’s a link and won’t show up as an option to upload into Box. Is this something the Box team can fix/work around?
5 votesGlad you are enjoying the Box for Gmail integration! Unfortunately, the 25GB behavior is a limitation on the Google side, meaning Box cannot do anything to fix this. Please reach out to your Google account team to get it prioritized on their roadmap.

Additional approval for large delete actions
We'd like the ability to add an optional multi factor authentication or admin approval while deleting files or folders above some specific amount data e.g 50 GB.

Indicate whether a user is a managed user or app user in Admin event stream
Adding a parameter in the Admin event stream which indicates whether the user that took an action was a managed user or app user would make it more efficient for administrators or analytics tools to separate activity by the different user types. In an active enterprise the volume of events may be very great, and having this additional level of specificity would simplify reporting.

"Box Feed" on IE doesn't display date correctly in Japanese. For example, Feed on Chrome shows us " 1月18日 ", " 1月22日 ", but Feed on IE does

Add option to cancel workflow, move files to trash automatically on reject
On rejecting, the workflow options are to go back to a previous step or to complete the workflow. However, if you reject, you may want the workflow to end and if the file has been rejected you certainly don't want to save it to the approved files directory (this has happened to us recently and caused a problem with a customer). On rejecting there should be a different option - to cancel the workflow and trash the files or auto-select a "rejected documents trashbin folder" in order to avoid accidentally saving rejected files to an approved files directory. Limit large files to desktop viewing only
Really large files should not be shown on mobile device and so we'd like to inhibit people from being able to see it.
Large files 100+ Gig, ‘rushes’ from ad shoots moved in disk, genomics files at academia,… must solve user experience issue with mobile/web – we want to be able to classify that content as desktop only.

Allow invitee to be notified of auto-expiration collaboration event
One of the settings in "auto-expiration" (Enterprise setting -> Content & Sharing) currently wrote "notify affected users" when the folder owner is the only person actually receiving the notification.

Allow user activity report to be filtered by affected user
We are unable to run the user activity report due the scale of their enterprise (15,000+ users).
Please run this report (particularly to determine collaboration permission changes) for a given affected users.
This would allow us to get the information of interest to them rather than a enterprise wide report that is almost unmanageable to filter after being run.

Standardize or lock down naming conventions
The ability to set restrictions on file naming conventions would greatly help admins query their data.

User reporting or user visibility to their own content via 'my' content manager
We want to enable our users with reporting capabilities.
The admins use content manager heavily. We think it would be great for users to also have a high level view of their owned and shared content.
These reports/view could include: File/folder index of folders and documents they currently own and share.

In move or copy operations, it would be useful to have a "new folder" option.
It would be advantageous to have a "new folder" option when a user is copying or moving files to a new destination.
Otherwise the user must create the new folder first, then select content from source and copy/move to target new folder.
This would be a great improvement to usability.

Jira Integration - 'Attach from Box'
Work with Jira to provide a Box integration allowing Box files to be easily 'attached' to Jira issues. Currently, users can choose from content locally stored on their computer when attaching files to issues, but this request is for:
- An integration that would allow the user to 'attach from Box'
- Once a Box file is 'attached' to an issue, Jira would then keep that content in sync between Box and Jira (just like Slack does)

IP Whitelisting on Administrative settings
Setting in the Admin Console so that an Admin can only change settings while in a defined IP range.

Device Limiting
We would like users to limit the number of devices a user can have connected to their Box account at a single time; but would like users to be able to manage those devices themselves, so that when a user gets a new phone they can "remove" their old device from their account settings and log into the new phone without having to contact an administrator.

Ability to clear out queued 'Silent Mode' messages that go out to customers
If silent mode is enabled and kept on for implementation period, and then turned off, it would send all those queued messages. We would like to clear out this queue in advance.

A Way to See Containing Folder From Search Results
We are searching for a file and there is no easy way to see the folders in which the resulting files are contained.
5 votesWe are not currently planning to implement this feature within search. Containing folder information will continue to be available through file previews and in the browse view.

New Groups UI: Make Shared Folders Page Sortable
Currently the Edit Shared Folders page lists the folders in random order. Admins want the ability to sort by the main columns for groups that have high folder counts.
5 votesWe have made the text for long folder names wrap in the Edit Shared Folders view, so cut off folder names with a company or department prefix should no longer be a problem.
However, we have not made the folders name column on the page sortable and don’t currently have plans to make this sortable.

Add Option to Hide Login Button
The Embed always shows a 'login' button for Folder Embeds if the current user has not yet logged in. This creates an odd experience when the Embed is open (doesn't require authentication) as it appears, to the user, like logging in is needed, even though it's not.
The ideal solution would be to show an option to hide/show the 'log in' button when generating the embed widget.

Trashed items: include details about the deleter
When a user makes a GET call for all trashed items, the response does not include details (name/user ID) of the user who trashed each item. This is inconsistent with the Web App view of a user's trash. The Web App view includes the name of the item deleter.

Ability to output a list of all collaborators via API
Currently you are not able to export external users as a list. You can only validate if a certain user is external or not.
