I claim domains in my tenant. Claiming the domain at the time of creation is not an issue. What becomes an issue is when the domain is created, users create free accounts then you realize the domain needs to be claimed. The cleanup process is messy as described in this post. In addition, you HAVE to send a Box Legal approved template to the user and must include the entire verbiage. The problem this presents is the user receives information regarding the features they will gain once their account becomes managed. You can't alter this data for scenarios where the user's account will be deleted immediately after. Box should have approved templates to send to users under different circumstances.

Box sees all accounts created, whether enabled or disabled, as a used license. The options are to either buy more licenses or delete users. When you delete a user, all of their historical data is deleted as well. Buying more licenses just to keep this data isn't a viable and also a costly solution. Most companies have data retention policies where we have to produce data about a user. I would like to see this implemented so I can delete users without fearing data loss.

I work for a construction company who may build a project with another entity. When there is a joint venture, we typically need to claim domains within Box as the users on that project need to have an identity that is consistent with the joint venture name. it would also be beneficial to be able to create custom domains where the project team can work under that name in Box instead of the company's name. I feel we're already halfway there with the domain claiming.

Under Integrations of a selected file, there is a Create PDF with Adobe Acrobat.
There is also an API that will do a file conversion to PDF called Get PDF Representation. The representation name isn't very intuitive. It would be helpful for Box to update the name to include conversion.

Thank you for the suggestion. There are definitely use cases for which this would be useful, but it is not currently prioritized for this year. We will revisit this in the future.

When you run a user activity report and select all shared link options, the best option the report provides on who created a link is 'Set shared link expiration.' Either add a 'Create shared link' and 'Delete shared link' option or rename what's there.
