Hello!
We're excited to let you know that we're currently actively working on SFTP implementation at Box. The initial version will be modeled after our trusted FTPS server, but we're eager to improve the experience of using it, so if you happen to have suggestions or ideas we should take into consideration – whether that involves authentication, performance, compatibility or any other matter, do not shy away from letting us know and get in touch.
Thanks in advance and speak soon.

Thanks for the feedback! However, this is an edge use case which would add complexity to the product. We will review this with additional demand.

We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew Ryan commentedPlaying with fire here. Years of user decisions in a non-waterfall environment accumulate a massive set of permissions exceptions that become a headache for everyone. If implemented, "allow breaking waterfall" should be a folder setting, with defaults managed in the Admin Console.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew Ryan commentedUse Viewer Uploader role instead of Editor role? (Viewer Uploader can edit files but has much less freedom to make other changes.)

Thanks for the suggestion! This is not currently planned, but we will keep it in mind for future enhancements of the product.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew Ryan commentedI support allowing Editors to remove someone else's lock, because people locking the file make mistakes and the person with the problem to solve knows they are making a judgment call.
If you don't want people to have this ability you can change them to the Viewer Uploader role -- which can still edit the file, but would not be able to override a lock on that file.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s called Box Tools because it actually contains both Box Edit and Device Trust capabilities in this one installer.

Thank you for the feedback. Adding Tasks to Box Notes is functionality that we are actively researching, but is not currently on the roadmap. Please continue to submit feedback and use cases, and we’ll update if and when this becomes a priority.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew Ryan commentedWe have groups that have fully adopted Box Tasks for their workflow, who I believe would adopt this in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the feedback. Adding @mention to the body of the Note is something that we believe would improve the annotations experience in BoxNotes. Although we can’t prioritize this feature at the moment, we will consider this feature when planning our future roadmap.

Probably not implementable because names of parent folders can contain confidential information. eg you could have your client folders moved between different areas depending on how they're being managed, without intending to telegraph that to the clients.
