Embed Allowing Search Capability within folder
Box embed should allow search within folders when using public/open shared links to the folder. This would be helpful and would allow users who are not logged in to search content shared.
28 votesWith the recent update to the Embed Widget, users can now search inside folders.

Show list of collaborators on mobile devices
When inviting a collaborator on a mobile device on a file, the list of users does not appear as it does when inviting collaborators on a folder.
We would like to be able to see this same behavior on files on mobile since it works with folders on mobile and since it works for files on desktop.
2 votesHello Everyone!
This suggestion has been delivered and is now available under 'Share' -> 'Invite' as a list of collaborators. We hope you all enjoy working with shared files.
Thank you for helping make Box better!

error in documentation
On the Authenticate with JWT (SDK) page the Node code snippet creates a const "configJSON," but then when the page references it later, it calls it "appConfig" in another code snippet instead. It references the enterpriseId in the configJSON variable but calls it appConfig.enterpriseId out of nowhere instead. The code breaks like this. Please fix for the sake of people trying to use these code snippets.
1 voteThis has been addressed in the latest version of the docs, available at https://developer.box.com/guides/authentication/jwt/with-sdk/

Search on metadata multi-select fields
For example, if a customer tags a file with the "Department" key and the values: "Finance" and "HR." "Department" does not appear in the Box UI search bar as a metadata filter option b/c it is multi-select.
79 votesWe have released the ability to search over Metadata multi select fields on the web. Here is a link to the community post: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057067553-Search-Metadata-multi-select-fields. You can also search over such fields using the API: https://developer.box.com/reference/get-search/#param-mdfilters.
Documents uploaded/updated with MD multi select fields from this point going forward will be searchable via that field. Previously uploaded documents with MD multi-select fields will soon be searchable via those fields (backfill is in progress).

Customize notifications (frequency and timing) for tasks on Relay workflows
A key piece of any ECM system is being able to control when and how often a user is notified about a task based on the severity of the workflow. If an approval is required for a mission critical business process that is time sensitive then the creators of the workflow need to be able to create urgency with the notifications in Relay. If this workflow is low priority and they don't want to "cry wolf" then they should be able to customize that it is low priority and maybe on need to be notified once a week etc.
3 votesWith scheduled workflows, you can now schedule a workflow that has a send notification outcome.

Watermarked PDFs should remain searchable
When downloading a watermarked PDF, users lose the ability to search content of the file. It appears Box is converting the file to an image on download. Text should still remain searchable
5 votesWith vector watermarking, we can now search through documents.

Retain completed tasks in the Notification CEnter
We would like to find tasks completed by others in our Notifications Center. Right now, Tasks assigned to other users disappear from our list when the task is complete. We want to be able to see completed tasks.
4 votesYou can now view a list of completed tasks in the Tasks Inbox. Click the clipboard icon on your Box homepage, then click “View All Tasks”. From there, you can choose a filter “My Tasks” or “Sent Tasks” to only those that have been completed.

Stop interception of browser search shortcut in developer docs
The box developer docs hijack CMD+F and that's exactly not what I expect it to do
CMD+F is a shortcut for most (all?) browsers to bring up a native Find dialog, but your reference docs hijack it in favor of some type of auto-complete search on the page which is actually never what I want, or expect to happen.

Add uploader role to box relay auto-start workflows
When you auto-start based on someone uploading or saving to a directory, that workflow should take into account the person who did that - the uploader role. For instance, in a workflow that has a gather feedback and incorporate step, that should be automatically assigned to the uploader not the workflow owner. In general the workflow owner is not a very useful role - it's just the person who happened to write the template - the workflow owner may have no stake in the workflow instances whatsoever. The uploader is a natural role that is missing.
8 votesWe released the ability to assign any task to the “workflow starter”, the person who performed the file action.

Reminders for past due tasks
Adding a Due Date to a task gives a visual within the notification email & the activity slider. Could we add logic to this date where it will send out a reminder as past due and/or change the assignee’s name to red?
5 votesThis suggestion has been delivered and is generally available (GA). Due date changes to red when a task is overdue, and assignees will receive email reminders that the task is outstanding.

Notarize the application for MacOS
Box Drive seems to be notarized, however the Box Tools / Box Edit installer is currently not, so my system warns me that this is "an application downloaded from the internet".

Currently you have to search for open assigned Task by checking your Notification folder or through the notification email as the assignee or by remembering the assigned file as the delegator. Could we have a “Task” folder that links us to all associated open Task as the delegator or assignee?
4 votesThis suggestion has been delivered and is generally available (GA). You can find all open tasks assigned to you in the new Task Center. You can get to a list of all tasks you’ve ever been assigned (regardless of status), or all tasks you have assigned to someone else by clicking “View All Tasks” from the Task Center.

Email Upload feature that uploads content of email, not just attachments
Currently, with the way the Email Upload feature works, is it uploads attachments into the folder specified. Can we also add a feature where it give us the option to store the text content of the emails as well?

Add Find in page ability in Mobile app
We'd like to add ctrl+F ability when previewing files in the mobile app.
The many use of box on my iPhone is to contain data in multiple locations so that I can look information up when I am not near my laptop. Many files are quite large and without a search feature, it is almost impossible to find the data. In the past, I have had to import the data downloaded by box into another app to search.

Folders accessed via Box for Salesforce do not appear in Box Drive until re-login
We’re finding that when a user visits a folder from Box for Salesforce, they then have access to the client folder from Box.com but it does not appear in Box Drive until they log out of Box Drive and back in.
Please fix this
8 votesSalesforce folders appear in the latest version of Box Drive without requiring log out/in. If you're seeing this issue, please file a ticket with our Box Support team.

Download view message could be improved.
When users go to a shared link, the notice is "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported". The phrase "not currently supported" is misleading and although there is download button below it, it causes a unnecessary ripple in the users minds as this information is processed. I suggest changing it to "We're sorry, you cannot view this type of file here, but you may download it." Also, it would be nice to have the file name in this message rather than at the top left-hand corner.
4 votesWe have revised the text to reflect some of the feedback here
