Application exemptions from Anomalous Downloads rule
When configuring Box Shield rules, the anomalous downloads rule seems to be missing the option to exclude application names. I would like to exclude a specific application from the anomalous downloads detection rule.

Box Notes Export or Download to Common Formats
It would be great if Box Notes supported a simple way to Download/Export into non-Box format like plain text, html, markdown, rtf, or Word. I am hesitant to leverage Box Notes until this feature is present.
27 votesIn Notes 2.0, we have the option to 'Print' which allows saving of the note as a PDF.

Ability to include subfolders on User Activity Report
There are times when we are asked to run reports for security investigations.
A lot of these requests call for reporting on a folder and all of its child folders.
We understand that this is currently not possible but was wondering if there was anything in the roadmap to include the ability to select a folder and possibly include another checkbox that says "include subfolders" or something along those lines.

File Request expiration
Due to security concerns, we have implemented an enterprise setting for shared link expiration. We would like to be able to do this with File Request links as well, but that is not a configuration option available. Would it be possible to add this functionality?

When choosing where to save email attachments, we would like the collection to be reflected in the choices.
When importing email attachments into Box from the standard iPhone mail app, the Box collection feature is not available.
This makes it difficult to reach the specified folder in the Box.Please make it possible to choose where to store email attachments from collections as well.
In other words, when choosing where to store email attachments, the collection should also be reflected in the choices.iPhoneの標準メールアプリからメール添付ファイルをBOXに取り込む際、BOXのコレクション機能が使えません。
2 votesIn order to accomplish this request, please first save the file to a location inside Box. You may then select the file and “add” it to a collection for reference.
Collections are links to files rather than their saved location, hence you are not able to save a file directly into a collection.

ON/OFF setting for Slack channel notification (permission)
Not everyone in the channel can view {filename}. You don't have sufficient permission to share this. Try contacting the owner or editors of the file.
When I shared BOX url to Slack channel, mention above would show and it's really annoying. I would be really happy if there is ON/OFF setting for this.
6 votesThis is achievable through setting the Default Instant Permission to "Do Nothing" mode. The can be set in Box app's Home page in Slack.

Suppression List Management
suppression list admin
1 voteWe are excited to introduce Suppression List Management for Administrator, a solution designed to streamline the process of handling suppression lists with ease.
Previously, customers had to reach out to Product Support to solve the problem with Notification delivery. With this new feature, Box Administrators can remove Users from the Suppression List without the need to contact the Box Support team. This feature will be available in the Admin Console under the Notification tab.

Box/MS Teams integration - prevent native file sharing
Need to add an explanation to the webpage on integrating the Box app with MS Teams:
Box file sharing is not practical in Teams if users are still able to attach files using the built-in Sharepoint capabilities of Teams. Box needs to explain how to turn off the native file sharing in Teams, thereby forcing users to use Box.
Apparently, there is a way to turn off the ability for teams to create SP doc libraries.

Toggle the Activity bar or Side by Side off and On when using an IPAD.
This is regarding the newest version of the IOS APP on an IPAD . When a user is using their IPAD as a laptop or in Landscape mode, the default is to have the Side by Side on. This shows a Blank Activities Pane. It would be great to only show the activities Pane if there are any notes. However the user should have the ability to toggle the bar, and regain the screen real estate.

Changes to workflow builder functionality
Create changes to workflow builder functionality:
1. Allow folder Editors to be able to build workflows (we have very few co-admins)
2. Allow the workflow builder to specify who is assigning the task (or make it generic.) Just because Bob builds the workflow doesn't mean his name should be on the assigning task.25 votesThanks for your feedback!
1. Editors are now able to build workflows (delivered in Q1)
2. We’ll certainly investigate the task assignee feedback in future feature updates as well, thanks! -
Box for Slack
When sharing a file with Box for Slack, a pop "Do you want to share it?"
Some files do not want to be easily collaborated. Therefore, not only "Do you want to share?" But also "Share" and "Do not share" should be selected.
With choices, you don't accidentally collaborate on important files easily.
1 voteCurrently, when Share with Slack is clicked from Preview sidebar or Integrations file context menu, there is an action confirmation popup available.

There should be a way to copy or clone File Request form templates to new directories instead of resetting to the default template.
Our department is using File Request links on our Box Enterprise account to provide donors with a simple submission form to upload digital materials for our collections.
We would like to set up one folder for each potential donor who will be submitting digital collections for us to review and process. (This will make it much easier for us to manage submissions, to review them for security, and to track them for procesing.) However, we also need to customize the File Request submission form for directories to include a standard boilerplate of instructions and to request a description of the…
5 votesThe status update to this feedback is delayed, but this feature is now available through the File Request Edit. In the File request Edit, you will find Copy in the additional options. Once you click on it, you will be able to select folders to which you want to copy the file request. There is also an API available, and the details are available at https://developer.box.com/guides/file-requests/copy/.

Match on File Folder Names, not Contents
When I search documents looking for the document TITLE only, files with the text inside the document also show up in search. Can a title only pulldown be added?
3 votesThis is available today in the WebApp. Go to “search within” and then select “file and folder names”.

Threat detection at the classification level
Threat detection at the classification level. Specifically, we would like the ability to monitor suspicious location and/or suspicious download for a particular dataset rather than the entire content population of our account.

Open files in Box from "Box Files" tab in Microsoft Teams
Currently I only see a way to launch a file in Box (for editing, commenting, etc) from the content card posted in a Team Channel conversation. I can't see a way to launch a file directly from the "Box Files" tab in Teams. Even an overall "Open Folder in Box" button would help to direct the user to the correct Team/Channel folder created in Box.

To be able to upload different types of files
To be able to upload different file types in Box Notes such as pdf, word, excel, etc. Currently we can only upload images.
1 voteToday, you can easily add previews of your desired file types (pdf, word, video, etc) by using the Embed button in the tool bar, or by selecting “Include Preview” when pasting a shared link in the Box Note.

Inherit classifications when copying file from one folder to another
In Box Shield Smart Access, if moved from Folder A, which is assigned the [In-House] classification, to Folder B, which is assigned the [Public] classification, Folder A's classification will be inherited.
However, the classification of [In-house] in folder A is not inherited when the copy operation is performed, the [Public] classification assigned to folder B is assigned.
Since the classification is not inherited by the copy operation, this function can be useful to prevent information leakage by implementing this function.3 votes -
Allow multiple OAuth Reply URLs
Currently, an application can only be defined with a single OAuth Reply URL. This is very restrictive for applications where multiple authentication endpoints are required.
The workaround is to define multiple applications, but this doesn't scale well.
In my experience, all other OAuth providers I've used allow for many URLs to be defined within a single application.
1 voteWe already support multiple Redirect URI in OAuth setup. You can learn more here.

Instructions for installing cli on Linux
Why don't you at least include some guidance on https://developer.box.com/docs/box-cli regarding where to start if you are using Linux? I have been unable to effectively use my box account since the webdav support ended, and every so often take another stab at it. It would be nice if this page at least pointed to the best resources for installing on Linux, rather than just giving a link to the download pages.
47 votesEven though this is an old request, we want to make sure you have been informed about the Linux CLI instructions update.
The CLI installation for Linux is available at CLI quick start guide
