There should be a way to copy or clone File Request form templates to new directories instead of resetting to the default template.
Our department is using File Request links on our Box Enterprise account to provide donors with a simple submission form to upload digital materials for our collections.
We would like to set up one folder for each potential donor who will be submitting digital collections for us to review and process. (This will make it much easier for us to manage submissions, to review them for security, and to track them for procesing.) However, we also need to customize the File Request submission form for directories to include a standard boilerplate of instructions and to request a description of the materials submitted.
Currently, every time we set up a new directory for a new donor, it seems that we have to re-create our standard Request File submission form template by hand, starting from scratch with the default form template. This is time-consuming and potentially error prone.
There should be a way quickly to clone, copy or duplicate an existing directories' current File Request form template into a newly created directory, so that it will replace the default File Request form template? If not, is there any way to edit the default File Request form template, so that each new directory will start out with our standard form by default.
Is this a feature that you would consider adding? It would be extremely valuable for our use-case, and seems like it could be useful for many others.
The status update to this feedback is delayed, but this feature is now available through the File Request Edit. In the File request Edit, you will find Copy in the additional options. Once you click on it, you will be able to select folders to which you want to copy the file request. There is also an API available, and the details are available at https://developer.box.com/guides/file-requests/copy/.

File Request - Allow for File Request templates to be established by an admin and leveraged by end users. This can be particularly beneficial when multiple legal entities are on a single Box environment and each wants to easily use respective branding for their file requests.

This is a great request. Thank you for adding this to your roadmap. It would be great if you can create a file request template so users can choose from the library of preset templates when they are starting a new file request.
