This limitation is due to Microsoft’s platform not allowing integrations to surface as messaging extensions (Box icon to upload and share documents). Until Microsoft supports this for third parties, Box is unable to deliver this functionality. We are working with Microsoft but there is no timeline for delivery at this point.

Microsoft has announced that it will support the use of apps in Teams private channels.
In light of this, we would like to ask you to reconsider enabling integration with the Box application as well.
This capability is an important factor in our efforts to centrally consolidate all files into Box.An error occurred while saving the comment

This post is quite old, but we still want to implement the ability to change the sidebar font color according to the brand color. Based on our brand color guidelines, we need to properly manage both background and font colors. However, since the font color is automatically determined, we are in a situation where we cannot set the brand color.

I fully agree. Even without converting and re-saving the file’s character encoding itself, being able to select the character encoding displayed in the preview screen—such as via a drop-down menu—would significantly broaden the ways in which CSV files can be viewed. In Japanese-language environments, this issue has a substantial impact on daily operations, so I sincerely hope it will be improved.
