Kanban metadata view in Box Apps
As a user, I'd like to be able to map a metadata field to metadata view columns so that I can clearly manage content as part of my daily process.
Instead of my 'Status' field being one column with multiple values, I'd like to each value to be its own column e.g. Not Started, In Progress, Pending, so that I get a status-driven view of my content.

Date conditional formatting in Box Apps
As a user, I'd like to define conditional formatting for date columns in a Box App so that I can clearly see documents with approaching deadlines and those that are overdue

Execute Relay against document in App view
As a user, I'd like to be able to assign a manual start Relay workflow to a Box App view so that I can trigger a workflow against a document by clicking a button e.g. specify initial approver and then execute workflow

Multiple Metadata Template Search Views
Allow Search Views to be built that search across more than one metadata template so that queries and conditions across metadata attributes from multiple templates can be used all in one view.

Filter on multiple text values in text data type
Currently, a metadata field needs to already be a multiselect to use the Match Any to allow form multiple match cases for a given metadata field. If the data type is a text field you and only match on one value.
Essential, we would like to be able to create an OR conditional match on multiple values for a text field when querying metadata in a Box App View.

Assign user to item in Box App
As a user, I'd like to be able to assign a specific user in Box App rather than relying on free text or metadata drop down fields so that I can send a notification or task and see additional user information such as email and profile photo

More robust in-line editing for Box App views
Currently inline editing is limited to single select metadata values. It would be great if this could be expanded to other data types, especially multiselect and date.

Ability to invite external unmanaged users into Box Apps
We are requesting a new feature that allows external (unmanaged) users to be invited into Box Apps.
Use Case Example:
A law firm wants to share categorized legal documents with their clients through Box. Currently, Box Apps enable internal users to view and manage files with rich metadata, making it easy to organize and automate workflows. However, clients cannot access these metadata views directly. Customers should have the ability to view this structure and even work with it to launch automations and processes, as well as search their documents more easily.7 votes -
Add Content-Disposition to Access-Control-Expose-Headers
The Download endpoint returns a content-disposition header with file name however Content-Disposition is not part of the Access-Control-Expose-Headers, therefore the file name cannot be derived by frontend javascript applications.
Adding Content-Disposition to Access-Control-Expose-Headers will allow frontend applications to access the file name of the content.

.360.jpg files
Previously, .360.jpg files could be viewed in 360° mode directly from the folder preview. After recent Box Previewer updates, they now open

locked pdf files can be overwrote from web based pdf viewer
When you fill out a pdf form in the pdf web viewer you are able to bypass the lock and save the filled out form overtop of the locked pdf. This seems like a design flaw since it allows users to overwrite pdf templates with forms data. I would like to see the lock functionality extended to include pdf’s opened with the web app.

Docsend Features
Hi Team, someone at RH brought to my attention a service from Dropbox called DocSend. It has many security features that Box already offers, but a notable highlight is the ability to track how long someone views a document and provides analytics on the time spent on specific pages.
Can Box add a similar feature? I would like our staff to stay on a unified platform and not need to open a Dropbox account.1 vote -
More items at a time on a file View in Box Apps
Allow for more items on a dashboard view - up to 250 per page or a continuously loading selection as I scroll down would be ideal.

I'd like to see an alternate view for Box Apps.
Something that toggles from tile to list view for when someone has many apps

The location filter overrides the file type filter in Box Apps
When using the location filter in a Box App, the File Type filter (where you can select if you want folders and what file type) stops working. We use cascading metadata on some folders as well as nested folders for organization.
When we pull all cases together in a Box App we want to remove the folders from the view because they are not relevant. This is fine until we want to further filter using the location and then all the folders are returned as well.

'Does not contain' filter for name field in Box App
We would like to be able to exclude content from a Box App view using a 'does not contain' operator. This would help us to narrow down content that is returned in a view.

Download all files from view
Currently, you are only able to download the files visible in a view. If there are more than 25 files you want to download, you need to complete multiple batches. If you have a folder with 500 items in it, you can download the whole folder.
We would like to see an option where you can export all files in a view like you can with a folder so specific information can be aggregated across our environment and retrieved via a Box App
