This feature is not currently planned, but it is a second-priority item for our team. A related feature—the ability to open a file in Box Drive from the web app—is on our roadmap and will be an initial step toward supporting this request. We understand the convenience that implementing this feature would bring, but recommend using the existing Bookmarks feature as a more efficient and simplified means for achieving the desired behavior.

Thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.

This issue is up there with workflow fails such as still having to archaically "right-click" lock file in box drive or you'll end up with conflicting multi user edits.

Syncing browser box created Bookmarks aka "hyperlinks to box drive folders" to--->Box Drive is Crucial for box to stay competitive. Or even better just enable bottom-up syncing windows shortcuts created in box drive folder...(%userprofile% in shortcut...)
