Sync alias/shortcut files on Box Drive
Box Drive currently does not support syncing alias files (I think these are called shortcuts on Windows machine), which is a basic file organization tool. Alternatively, expose the favorites from the box web app on box drive. At present, it's impossible to organize a list of your truly active files while working solely within Box Drive. Seems like making these file types available for syncing would be a simple solution to implement.
Thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

My organization recently required that employees use Box Drive as the primary way to ensure that important files benefit from backup (in replacement of another solution). So I moved many folders and files to Box Drive. But as an avid user of macOS aliases, I now realize these don't work anymore when stored in Box Drive. Really a negative point for me...

Yes please! Not many people use shortcuts/aliases to organize their files but for those of us that need to group documents in multiple ways, an alias/shortcut is the only way to do that without creating duplicate files. We need our cloud solution to help recognize those digital filing systems.

Or even better just enable bottom-up syncing windows shortcuts created in box drive folder...(%userprofile% in shortcut...)
This issue is up there with workflow fails such as still having to archaically "right-click" lock file in box drive or you'll end up with conflicting multi user edits.
