See and share full path from Box Drive
A function that enables to share Box Drive location/path between users.
When using Box Drive on a daily bases, it is inconvenient that the user needs to open the link on the browser once to identify the specific location/folder path.
It would improve to shorten the work flow if the users can see the full path from Box Drive so that they don’t have to go through the process to open box.com.
Thanks for the suggestion! It’s not currently on the roadmap at this time.

Can we have and environment path variable like %box% which would open the box folder on any machine/user
%box% would work like windows %temp% but open the box folder location -

<username> being part of the Box Drive path has been mitigated, as it i now possible to establish the Box Drive Root elsewhere; e.g. C:\box. However, this still won't support the requested feature given the way Box handles permissions; not all users have the same top level structure, so there is not "full path" that would work for anyone.
I suggest the feature request to have the ability to open Box Drive from a location on Box.com would address this request to a degree.

Just asked support about this, of course got sent to Pulse. Our enterprise is intentionally set for shared links to have an expiration by default, so shared links should not be considered permanent. If employees are needing to find a permanent link to content for embedding in documentation, or sending internally versus external collaboration, they need the permanent link. There is no quick way to get that with Box Drive, you have to click "View on Box.com", then log in, then two factor, highlight the URL, copy, then you can finally paste. This should be a one click operation accomplished in Box Drive directly; find the content you want, "Copy permanent link" or whatever you what to call it.

On macOS and web, can't easily select the full path to copy. Would be nice to copy the full path, filename and URL in the share dialog on web.

A *clickable* path, at that. file:///c:\users\<username>\Box\etc is unusable because of the <username> variable.
Sharing links is cumbersome on many levels internally.
