Expose Favorites in Box Drive
Favorites are becoming more and more popular now that they're better exposed (in the left rail) in the new Web App.
As such, users expect to access their Favorites list regardless of which endpoint they're using - webapp (supported), mobile (supported), or desktop (not supported via Sync or Box for Desktop).
REQUEST: Add a 'Favorites' view to Box for Desktop content (somehow) that allows the user to view only their Favorites (files + folders) just like they do in the webapp.

This needs to happen. Box's content sprawl issues make it unbearable for a very collaborative organization.

This would be a great add to allow Box to be a single efficiency source, no matter which method of access (Drive versus Web).

Our company desperately needs this. Even if it were shown in the Box Drive interface, and not in Windows Explorer. Filtering to only relevant folders would be greatly beneficial.

I agree very much with this. I rarely use the web app. It is so much more convenient to have the feel that Box is part of the laptop or computer and keeping my Desktop uncluttered. I have some favourite links to presentation, documentation, technical material that is often used but in different folders (because of shares or categories). I do not want to copy the files into a favourites folder, needlessly adding clutter and risking not updating the correct file.

I too would find this feature helpful!

Working in a company using Box drive with 400,000+ users this would be a really welcome enhancement, since we often have hundreds of folders when we look into BOX drive.

Having similar experiences between both interfaces would be important!

Our users rely heavily on Box Drive but it's not providing the same web experience. Please consider making this change.

We need this too, Favorites is way for our users to manage their "homepage"/Folder shares. It gets user quickly to the content they need versus having to find, search, or need to have to manage another quick access list.

This would solve the problem of Box Drive showing up everything that you have access to in Explorer when in fact you might only want to see the ones you access most often

What's the point of favorites if you can't use them anywhere but the web?

One way to implement this would be to add Favorites as a root-level folder in the File Explorer view.
This would be a very useful improvement for those of us who like to rely on Favorites.

Box Sync forced users to only have some files synced to avoid taking up local storage. This resulted in users’ Box Sync folders being generally uncluttered compared to the Web App’s “All Files” view. Now, with Box Drive, users can be overwhelmed by the number of files visible at once within their root Box Drive folder in Windows. Having a “Favorites” view will allow a user the option to reduce their Box Drive folder clutter and will help us increase adoption of the tool.
