Shared Link Details: Add 'Date Created' Column
The Shared Link Details report is a great report currently that provides admins a wealth of information when performing an 'inventory' or security review of all existing shared links.
One additional column that would be very helpful to include is a 'Date Created' column that would provide a date entry for each shared link. This information is currently reported in Usage Logs, but is essentially impossible for an admin to correlate between the Shared Link Details report and the Usage Logs export for 'Item Shared' entries.
Add a 'Date Created' column to the Shared Link Details report.
This would be…

Drag and Drop behavior to and from Box Drive
The current behavior of dragging and dropping content between Box Drive and the local desktop is a "move" action on Windows, and a "copy" action on Mac. A "copy" action may be more intuitive, and will be similar to the behavior when dragging to and from the web app.
Performing a "copy" action would also be better for retaining the original file in case of any issues.

Allow Export / Download of all 'Held' Content in a Legal Hold via UI (aka Add an 'Export Content' Button)
There are already exposed API endpoints for customers to programmatically export/download all content that's being held as part of a Legal Hold Policy - https://docs.box.com/reference#legal-holds-object, but some customers don't have development resources and would prefer for this functionality to be simply exposed as an 'Export Content' button on the Legal Hold Policy UI itself.
26 votesLegal hold export was launched in November 2022. Please see our documentation.

Allow export of content from Content Manager
When reviewing content from users who are on legal hold, allow admins to export data directly from Content Manager instead of requiring the admin to navigate to the file in Box.

Improve search and filtering in Templates view
We have many many templates and it's hard to find my own! It would be most beneficial to include some sort of "metadata search" - like search by owner, in fact (most obvious use case).
2 votesReleased the revamp of the templates page so that you can find the template you own easier. We will do more searching and filtering later in the year. If that is as important, please submit a new ticket! Thank you!

Dynamic installation of Box Drive
I was tasked with making the Box Drive installer available for deployment via the Jamf Casper Suite on macOS. Software deployment policies from Casper run as the Unix root user - not the logged in human user - so any user folder modifications during the package install will be made to the root user's home folder. On macOS, the root home folder is located outside of /Users, hidden away at /private/var/root. However, after the Casper deployment policy runs, a new root folder is found in the Users folder where it doesn't belong. That root folder doesn't belong there and could…

Allow customers to plugin their own AI instances to Box
Customer is asking if they could plug-in their own AI instance in to box to analyze content that lives in Box.
They would like to swap Box's AI instance with their own AI instance. This will allow customers to use their own trained AI instance to analyze content in Box.3 votesThis is a great suggestion and is possible today via the Box Skills Kit. Customers can build a Box Custom Skill (in beta today) using their own ML/AI instance. We are investigating ways to make it even easier for customers to bring their own ML to Box down the road.

Make it easier to filter events that occurred in a particular folder (including subfolders)
Use Case:
- There's a parent folder with multiple levels of sub folders.
- This parent folder is shared out to a group or some external collabs
- Parent folder's owner wants to know how many downloads have happened from the parent folderCurrently, seems like there's two ways to do this but neither are scalable or easy to do if the folder tree is complex:
Option 1:
Run Usage Logs on all download events over the given time period
Export the report
Use Excel or some other program to filter off of the "Contained in folder" column
This requires…78 votes -

"Move Owned Items" API call fails for users with a large amount of content.
We aim to fully automate the deprovisioning of users using Box Platform. This normally involves transferring content the user owned to their manager or another service account. For users who own large amounts of content this is challenging (even via the UI), and not possible at all using API.

Visual Versions: Preview prior versions directly in the web app
Concurrent editing feature in Office Online can result in 200+ versions of a document within a matter of hours.
There is no easy way to identify which version we want to roll back to without downloading previous versions.
We would like a preview of earlier versions to be available in the web app - does not need to be a full html5 but maybe an instant preview?

When a user downloads a folder, the admin would like the individual files shown as downloaded in the access stats reports
Currently if you download a folder, the report will only show the user downloading a folder, not the individual files iwthin the folder. The client would like to know exactly what was downloaded as the content of a folder can change in it lifetime
