This limitation is due to Microsoft’s platform not allowing integrations to surface as messaging extensions (Box icon to upload and share documents). Until Microsoft supports this for third parties, Box is unable to deliver this functionality. We are working with Microsoft but there is no timeline for delivery at this point.

An error occurred while saving the comment Michael Steinhofer commentedI would also love to see a report that ONLY shows external users. right now, the only thin I can do in the UAR is see everyone, managed and external. People have told me it is possible, but I haven't figured it out and the instructions I've come across still lead to an unwildy report showing everyone

An error occurred while saving the comment Michael Steinhofer commentedTo add to this, clicking on the item to take you to it, or right-clicking to show in finder/explorer seems like a no brainer. But what is also super frustrating is that there is literally zero indication you have an error in the first place? you move about your day doing all sorts of box interactions and there is no popup saying hey there's a problem. if you're lucky enough to be looking at the folder where the problem is you see a red circle. but most people are just in a save dialog in an app, or copy something to a box folder then move on with their day. even a red dot on the menubar icon would be helpful! something! currently, as the admin, I get contacted hey, box isn't syncing? is Box down or something? and I have to go over to their Mac, open box, click on settings to see if there is an error which for some reason that one problem item causes the rest of box to stop syncing it seems. and then manually fix the problem items. it's a real pain. should just be a notification, you click the notification and that takes you directly to the problem item so you can fix it. in most cases in my experience it's simple that there is an extra space at the end of the folder name.

This is something we’re considering for the longer term roadmap, but not something we’re exploring in the near-term unless there’s more demand.

Thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

We’re not planning a ‘fast switch’ option to allow a user to easily switch between 2 different Box accounts on Box Drive while maintaining all cached data. The only option we have now is that users can ‘logout’ of their current account and sign into another account, but the caveat is that this will delete all their local cached data/MFO settings from Box Drive

An error occurred while saving the comment Michael Steinhofer commentedPreviews for all file types should be saved. that way you could preview a pdf or whatever in the finder/explorer without first having to download the file locally. it's really irritating to have to download local copies of a file just to realize it was the wrong file and you then have to download a local copy of another file.

How has this not been resolved? For me it's a security/compliance issue that all of our teams and channels are private so that users who shouldn't have access can't just poke around and see whatever they want. Seems odd to me that Microsoft can't change this?
