Thank you for this suggestion. It is a niche request and I am not sure which problem it solves. We will reconsider with additional use case and demand info.

This is not on the short term roadmap (6 month) due to other higher priorities.

We are making the overall Box Web App responsive so that users can get the information they need to engage with content effectively instead of improving the UX of each component piecemeal.

Thanks for the thoughtful suggestion (and mock-up!). At this time, it’s not planned, but we’ll keep this in mind for future enhancements to the product!

This is still on track to be delivered this year, 2023.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt Stofka commentedWould love to reply directly to a comment or annotation to keep the conversation in line. I was just chatting with someone in Box - he made 5 annotations on a document with questions for me and I wasn't able to reply to each one so it was difficult to tie my response to each annotation. The old annotations had a reply function but didn't have the benefit of the comments thread and @mentions so hopefully you can find a way to do both. Threading might get a bit messy in the current UI but perhaps you could allow us to expand the right comments panel to see the thread hierarchy better?

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt Stofka commentedThere is already a setting in each users' Account Settings that defaults to 20 items per page but you can increase to 100. I wish this were reversed...it should instead default to 100.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are looking at how to improve content sprawl on Drive. We will be considering Collections as a possible path (among other options), but don’t have a change planned in the near-term.

Thank you for your feedback! We believe this feature is important and can provide significant value to the Notes product experience. However, we cannot prioritize this feature in the near term. We will keep this under consideration for our future roadmap.

I just had a few senior management users ask for this, too. The use case is that if someone prints or emails a file to one of the senior managers (instead of sending a shared link), that the recipient would be able to identify the file name and version just by looking at the document.. Legacy document management systems - such as those used by law firms - have had this feature for decades that puts a document ID and/or version in the footer so perhaps it could be done via the Box Drive or Box Tools desktop apps, or the Box for Office plugin.
