Collaborations Report: Add User Filter (same as Usage Logs)
Add ability to filter (like on Usage Logs) before running the report to avoid having to pull the report for all users (which takes quite a while as we know), then filter down in Excel.
Two Key Filter-able Options:
--Filter by Managed User
--Filter by Folder by choosing user -> choose folder OR by searching for folder nameThe Collaborations report is basically unusable as a large company due to the size of the report that's generated -- it's not scalable for us to have to pull the report for all users and filter down in Excel.

External Collaborator Reporting
Have the ability to export the list of external collaborators with the items they are collaborating on (which the external users tab already shows).
9 votesThis information already exists in the Collaboration report. This report lists collaborations (managed and external users) on folders owned by that enterprise. Collaboration type is also called out so you can tell if the user is managed, external or if they have access via a group.

Per-Device 'Offline' Syncing ('mark a folder for offline use' on computer 1 but not computer 2 when logged into the same Box account)
Currently, when a user chooses 'sync this folder' from the webapp, that folder is then synced for offline access to ALL computers where the user is logged into Box Sync.
This request is to provide per-device syncing options, meaning:
"I want to sync Folder A to computer 1 but not computer 2 (but I'm logged into the same Box account in Box for Desktop on both computers)."Key driver for this: often times users with multiple computers want certain files synced but not others (due to space constraints, etc).
8 votesWe are happy to report that per-device offline syncing is now available as a key feature in the ‘Mark for Offline’ feature in Box Drive. See this article for more information: https://community.box.com/t5/Getting-Started-with-Box-Drive/Making-Content-Available-Offline/ta-p/58822
We don’t plan to bring per-device syncing into the Box Sync app as we’re investing heavily in Box Drive as the future for accessing Box content locally on your desktop.

Export Users - Use standard storage metric in managed user export report
The "Storage Use" column in the Admin Console uses various metrics (B, KB, MB, GB, etc.), which prevents them from sorting to see which users have the most storage, least storage, etc.

Job Manager - Show status of which report exports are 'in progress'/'generating'
Many times when admins export a report from the Admin Console, the report doesn't instantly post to the Box Reports folder, so the admin is stuck in a limbo of continually checking the Box Reports folder to see if the file has been uploaded yet.
Request: provide a 'Job Manager' status page that shows all reports that are currently being generated along with the option to subscribe to an email alert once the report has actually been generated.

Export Users - Add 'Email Aliases' Column (Allow Admins to Export/Report on Email Aliases)
If an admin wants to view users' email aliases (non-primary email addresses in Box), they must look at each user individually since there is no current export or reporting functionality that includes email aliases.
'Export Users' refers to the button located in Admin Console -> Users & Groups -> Managed Users.
7 votesA column for “Secondary Emails” which lists a user’s email aliases was added to the exported report for Managed Users in October 2018.

Multi-Factor Authentication for SSO required
We would like to be able to issue Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in addition to SSO required and for specific groups like external collaborators, contractors, and remote employees
5 votesThe option to require 2FA for external collaborators has been delivered earlier this year. This feature, while independent from the SSO configuration should answer to the original ask.

Embed - Custom Branding Should Be Respected
Currently, an EID's custom branding settings (colors, logos, help URLs, etc.) are not respected/funneled through to the Embed UI. Essentially, the Embed UI is a totally separate UI currently and customers would prefer that it's just a smaller (responsive) window into the full webapp, respecting all custom branding, etc.
Customers would like Embed to...
1. Respect custom branding coloring
2. Respect the 'help' link that's set in the custom branding tab of the admin console5 votes -
Embed doesn't display locked files
Lock is critical to using Sync and editing files. Box Embed is critical to our workflows. The lock icon is the only way to view a file is locked in Box Embed, as well as the only way to see who locked it and when. Box Embed, however, does not display lock.
1 voteThe Lock icon in the Preview header shows in the embed widget using the new UI.

.PKG File for Deploying Box Sync on Macs
We currently only provide a DMG file for deploying Box Sync on a Mac. This is not really scalable and not the preferred way to deploy apps to Mac workstations in large enterprises.

3 votesWe will provide .pkg installers in Box Drive

Save full email files back to Box (not just attachments)
Users at General Atlantic would like to use Box to archive important emails. But saving .eml files to their machines and then uploading is clunky and is not possible on mobile devices. They've requested a more automated way to send emails to Box from Outlook and Outlook app.
6 votesThe ability to save .eml files to Box has been delivered with the new Box for Outlook integration:

Virus Scanning: Allow Customers to Enable Virus Scan
Prior to 2017, virus scan notifications (when a potentially malicious file was detected) could optionally be enabled (via Internal Admin -> Enterprise Features Customization) which would do 2 things:
1. Generate an email notification to the primary admin
2. Generate an email notification to the file ownerIn 2017, Box made a change to also add a notification for the FILEMARKEDMALICIOUS event to the Event Stream. https://docs.box.com/docs/api-changelog#section-2016-05-18-new-event-type-for-enterprise-events
However, in order for this event to populate in the event stream, the 'Virus Scan Notifications' must be enabled via IA, which also generates those 2 other email types above.

Ability to Link Directly to Google Editor UI
Currently, the Box + Google integration only allows a user to copy a standard Box shared link, which loads the Box Preview pane. For users that want to edit the file, they then have to choose 'Open' in order to open the Google editor UI and start making changes.
This is different than the behavior if the Google Sheet (for example) were stored in Google Drive -- in Drive, when recipients open the link for a file, it takes them directly to the Google editor UI so users can instantly start making edits/changes.
3 votesNew G Suite integration enables linking directly to the Google document, as well as to a specific point in that Google document (e.g. to an exact comment).
