Just chiming in to provide insight into why this change would be beneficial for workflows. Under the current system, it is very hard to track the signed copy that gets created as a new document, primarily because there is nothing tying it back to the original except for potentially the file name. If the signed version shared metadata with the original, or better yet was simply a new version of the original file with the same file id and supplementary data, it would be much easier to integrate Box sign into workflows.
