An error occurred while saving the comment Ian Crew commentedReally, the fact that the Box for Google Workspace add-on doesn't work with Shared Drives should be counted as a bug, not a feature idea, but I lost that argument with support, so here's my wholehearted support for this feature idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ian Crew commentedAgreed. To go a little further, this screen is incredibly vague and confusing even for people who are not using assistive technologies.
As most people do not have more than one Box account, it seems that it would be even more preferable if Box could just set a cookie where Box would know which organization a person is a part of, and not need to show this screen at all.

Box storage platform already has optimizations in place to intelligently detect active (most recently and frequently used) data, and migrate it to cost-effective tiers. Great suggestion though!

We will want to see more demand for this functionality before further consideration.

Thanks for the suggestion! Providing a read-only scope for Users via API is not currently on the roadmap, but we’ll update this request if that changes.

This is a great suggestion, and I can definitely see the usefulness of such a feature. Based on current priorities, I don’t foresee us being able to implement this feature in the short-term.

Customers can utilize the existing events infrastructure to gather this data, so we do not have any plans to provide snapshots in fewer API calls in the short term.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ian Crew commentedGiven the advent of the Box CLI, an API (and corresponding support I the CLI) would be really useful, as it would enable the creation of reports on a scheduled basis (e.g., via a cron job). I hope the decision to not add this to the API is reconsidered.
Thanks!

This change would require a shift to a completely new architecture, which is not planned at this time.

We do not currently plan to provide all users via a single API request. For nightly synchronization of large user populations such such as the one described in this request, a more appropriate method would be to request relevant user and group events for that day from the enterprise events API and apply the changes there. When using this strategy, a full synchronization should only be required initially and in the case of some corruption or drift between the two systems.

Thanks for your feedback. We unfortunately don't have plans to support a Linux client for Box Drive at this time.

Adding: the size taken by those versions is also important: for large document types (like video), that could be significant.
