This limitation is due to Microsoft’s platform not allowing integrations to surface as messaging extensions (Box icon to upload and share documents). Until Microsoft supports this for third parties, Box is unable to deliver this functionality. We are working with Microsoft but there is no timeline for delivery at this point.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vincent commentedThat would be great! In addition, having metadata fields added to file request with set values and not visible to uploader would be most useful. For instance if I create a file request to receive tender submissions, I'd like to set the tender ID and the submission date in the metadata 'automatically'. Cascading metadata won't work in that case as not all content in the folder would have the same metadata, plus in our case we don't grant permission to users to cascade metadata as there are risks associated to this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vincent commentedAs a workaround, it would be great if Box would:
- Use a single icon for BoxLocked and BoxLockedByOther and BoxWCollabLock
- Rename the ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers so that they are listed in order of importance. My take would be:
1. Available Offline
2. Locked
3. Problem
4. Syncing
5. Synced (placing this one last as that would be considered ‘default’ unless it’s any of the above)In this way and even with OneDrive installed, all icons would display (unless additional applications are installed that take up space).

An error occurred while saving the comment Vincent commentedIn our case, Box content is embedded all over our Intranet, sometimes with creative use cases including to feature for instance some document library inside a Word document or a PowerPoint, but more often to display a any kind of guidance document. With the addition of the cloud game to embedded file display, the UX is highly impacted. Ideally we would want to be able to identify trustet websites on which the content can be embedded or some other way to avoid having the security challenge on screen constantly.

We are on track towards fixing this. We have made significant improvements in our Files, and Folder counts and their related sizes. They now happen in a near realtime speed and we also have a redundant process that runs and fixes these counts nightly. The current improvements are visible in most of your folders browsing experience and the enterprise level counts. We are in process of fixing counts that you can see for a given user, this will release in Calendar year 2024'Q3. There are also few minor improvements planned for the last quarter of the year.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are looking at how to improve content sprawl on Drive. We will be considering Collections as a possible path (among other options), but don’t have a change planned in the near-term.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vincent commentedWe'd like to automatically trigger some workflows based on reports. For instance, we're moving files flagged as malicious to a quarantine folder. Currently, we need to run the report and upload it manually to a folder where the file upload is a trigger action. If we could select the export folder, the entire process would be automatized which would make our process much more robust.

This is not something that we would consider as part of the basic virus-scan for all files today. Customers requiring advanced features such as quarantining malicious files can benefit from a CASB product with Box integration

Hi, our organization has mutliple Teams tenants. We would like the ability to allows all our users to access the Box app in Share channels that are accessible to users on any of our tenants. We understand this could be done by enabling the app on O365 as part of B2B connect, but the Box app is not supported in shared channels presently.
