This is something we’re considering for the longer term roadmap, but not something we’re exploring in the near-term unless there’s more demand.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are looking at how to improve content sprawl on Drive. We will be considering Collections as a possible path (among other options), but don’t have a change planned in the near-term.

Thank you for the suggestion. Box currently offers the ability to lock folders using the folder lock API - https://developer.box.com/reference/post-folder-locks/
We do not have a feature on our roadmap to expose this functionality from Box Drive. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.

This is the natural behavior for lexicographic sorting which treats everything as a string. We are unlikely to change this behavior in the near- or mid-term.

Thanks for your note!
This runs against our design philosophy of the Web App experience where everything can be achieved in the browser.

We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap. We are currently prioritizing automatically locking/unlocking files on Box Drive for Office files on Windows. We will revisit this feature in the future.

My company runs into the exact same issue. Our lower level people still need to be able to edit, delete, and move items within the folder structure, but in order to grant them that level of access, they are also able to move the root level folder wherever. At one point our entire projects folder was unavailable for half a day during busy season while it was moved back and reshared by admin.
