Enhance file storage location for Box Drive
Having files stored in a hidden user cache folder is a very bad design. Leave them in the folder where they "physically" are, instead, just as Box sync, Dropbox, Mega, and others do.
Plus, let me choose where the app installs in and which folders I want to keep synced. As is it now, Box Drive has a needlessly redundant mechanic, eats up space on the system drive, and give no control to users.
I uninstall the app until these problems are addressed.

Microsoft Teams and Box Notes integration
Being able to view Box note files without login required within the Microsoft Teams desktop platform. Ideally you would also be able to edit Box notes within the MT platform or have a link that opens the note up in your Box notes desktop so you can easily find and edit the document through MT, rather than open up Box online or Box notes to dig around and find the note.
Anyone else find the process a bit cumbersome?

Playback Speed on Mobile for Videos
I would like to play video contents with double speed in the mobile app's preview mode.
Currently you can change the speed of the video on web but it is not possible on mobile.
It would be great if you can add the playback speed (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) on mobile too.Thank you for your consideration.

Enable option to automatically create, access, and upload content into a unique Box folder for each Slack channel.
Also, enable option for a link to that unique Box folder at the top of every Slack channel.
Today, we have 15,000+ customers and we want a Slack channel for each customer. We want each Slack channel to have a unique Box folder associated with it.
Today, we have to manually create each unique folder one-by-one, and thereafter pin each folder one-by-one in each Slack channel.

BoxSign signature upload function should apply to all BoxSign signers.
I want the scope of the BoxSign signature upload function to apply to all BoxSign signers.
Currently, BoxSign's signature upload function is only applicable to paid accounts.
I believe that there are many times when you sign in with a mobile device such as an iPad on the go, without logging into Box.
In addition, not everyone has a paid account when they request a signature, so it is not efficient for business if people who do not have an account or who have a free account cannot upload their signature.Therefore, I would like to see the signature upload…

Shield Suspicious Location User-Level Exclusion
Allow for user level exclusion for suspicious location alerts. This is helpful in the event that users are traveling across locations and various IP addresses.

Add Box IDs to Managed Users Report
Currently, Box IDs are not accessible from the Managed Users Report. To obtain the Box IDs, I have to use the CLI.
Our company deprovisions Box accounts based on the Last Login date in the Managed Users Report and it would be helpful if the Managed Users Report include the Box IDs.

Create a simple Self-Sign feature in Box Sign for rapid single signature by user
Allow for a simple self-signature type option on Box Sign. This would allow someone to simply click on a file, choose "Apply my signature" from a menu, and let the Box Sign engine perform the process of allowing the user's signature and completion. The signed version and log will be kept in the working folder where original file exists. Please allow other users after the fact to also sign a "Signed Document" by appending to the process.

Update Box Sign to be more compatible with Google Chrome. Can't consistently open agreement requests in Chrome.
Majority of the time I can't open an agreement request for signature in Google Chrome. I have to use a different browser in order to not see an error message.

Watermark of PDF and Excel files
We are not able to use watermark of PDF and Excel files on mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad. We would like to use this feature.

IP whitelisting (Web App only) for BoxNotes
We have heard that IP whitelisting with Web App only cannot control BoxNotes.

We’re incredibly excited to announce read-only and pre-fill fields in Box Sign, now available to all Box Sign customers! With pre-fill fields, you can pre-fill data within specific fields prior to sending documents. Additionally you can toggle certain fields as read-only, locking field data and preventing it from being modified by signers.

Senders can pre-populate data into read-only fields when leveraging Box Sign APIs for prefill tags or the batch send feature, when inputting data into the custom CSV. Now you can leverage Box Sign for high volume use cases with greater control over field data, like employee handbooks, compensation plans, and much more. Template tags will support read-only fields as well, enabling senders with a more streamlined sending experience.

Salesforce integration to support Salesforce platform user licenses
The Box for Salesforce integration installation guide and FAQ state that the integration only works if Salesforce users have a full "Salesforce" user license. This is a deal breaker for many organizations that have Salesforce users with the more affordable Salesforce "Platform" user license.
Since the integration supports custom Salesforce objects, I don't see why the full Salesforce licenses would be required for each user. I would understand if the integration user (Box service account) needs a full Salesforce license, but individual users should be able to use this integration with a Salesforce platform license. Take action on user based on Threat Detection Shield Rule
Extending threat detection ALERTS to take action on a user's access would be very valuable. I've heard lots of customers request having a user's account deactivated if they access Box from a suspicious location. Right now, there is not a way to do this through the core Box application, it has to be done through custom scripting or with another tool.
10 votesAn automated response action to restrict a managed user was released in 2023 for our Suspicious Location detection rule. As we build out new alert pages for our other detections, actions are being evaluated.

Ability for a signer to sign the document twice at two different stages of the signing process
In our workflow for accounting and tax in Australia it is common for a document with cover letter to have the letter signed out by a director to a client, the client signs the document and then following their signature the director signs (signed authority is required by the client before this signature is done).
At the moment from what I can see the person signing twice can only sign at the start or end, but not both.

2 factor authentication
Just been chatting with the support guys ... When turning on 2FA, the first log in prompts for the auth code. However, every login after that drops back to just asking for username/password. (unless you clear your browser down every time !)
for 2fa to be effective, the system should ask for the auth code at every login otherwise there is no point in enabling it.

Allow the "User Activity" report to be run for a folder and all sub-folders & content within that folder
Today, the admin may select to run the "User Activity" report for a particular folder. When run for a particular folder, the report will only filter on the contents of the selected folder, and not the contents of subfolders within. Request that the report includes the folder and all sub-folders & contents within that folder, removing the need to run the report at the enterprise level and filtering to a particular folder path from there.

Re-implement Windows shell icon overlays - Fix it permanently

Now in Windows 10, if we rename the registry keys, the moment the computer restarts OneDrive changes the keys again so that the box icons are not showing.According to Microsoft this should be attacked in a more modern way

Allow default sorting to "Favorites" and created "Collections" so that they appear alphabetically.
If you have dozens or hundreds of folders in your "Favorites" and they are not sorted alphabetically, then it is nearly impossible to find your subject folder. Just make Favorites and Collections default sort alphabetically or give us the choice to set the default. Other people may want the last visited folder to be at the top, but still others may want to see it alphabetically. Please give us the option to do so as a default treatment.
