Localized Box Drive UI
Users are happy with localized web UI. Many are expecting the same for Box desktop tools, especially Box Drive

Admin console report shows user mapping to zones location for all multizones customers.

"Make Current" and "Remove" action options on version history should be removed for certain permission levels
Certain options show up in the Version History modal even though clicking them leads to a generic red "Server Error" banner (since they don't have permissions to do it). This leads to user confusion - why is there an error? Why is this action even here if I shouldn't be allowed to do it?
Observed behavior (reproduced from user):
Viewer Uploader

API currently doesn't expose email addresses of non-Box uploaders who upload via email
Specifically in the context of uploading via email.
API currently does show emails of uploaders that are Box users, whether in enterprise or not. It does not show emails of uploaders that are not Box users (name shows as "Unknown User".
Webapp shows names for Box users, email addresses for non-Box users. It seems odd that the webapp would expose the email address but the API doesn't.
1 voteA field called ‘uploader_display_name’ is now available on the file object via API and documented at https://developer.box.com/reference/resources/file/. This field should contain the email address of users that upload via email or the new file-request capability. Move to next selection using keyboard shortcuts in UI
I want to be able to use keyboard to move between folders and view their details

Improve performance of Legal Holds i.e. processing time for adding custodians to a hold
It can take up to 5 days to add 50 custodians to a legal hold. We have also been told not to add more than 50 custodians at a time to a legal hold so we can more easily track any errors (shown if the hold moves to the releasing state without being released!) We can have up to 25k custodians per year to add to Legal Holds so the backlog is becoming unmanageable and we are not happy with the performance of our product at scale.

Ability to do a OR condition check between certificates and windows domain check in the Device Ownership requirement
Employees will have company provided laptops which will be on SE domains. Contractors or Bring your Own laptop crowd will receive security certificate through MDM solution and they would be able to access Box based on that. Pushing the certificate to all internal 100K+ laptops is a technical challenge.

Maintain resolution of watermarked content.
Both previewed/downloaded watermarked files are difficult to view due to resolution degradation

Legal Hold Report Improvement: Owner field, etc.
We want to define LH collections based on whether the user owns content or not. This isn't easily doable (without checking each file via script/additional API calls or manually).
Further, we don't want to collect the same file twice, which is easy to do the way the report is done today.
Users under LH with like collaborations show up as duplicate entries in the report.

Box now sends reminder emails 24 hours before a task is due, as well as one when the task is overdue.
We may consider adding more granular controls in the future, based on feedback.

Search on metadata multi-select fields
For example, if a customer tags a file with the "Department" key and the values: "Finance" and "HR." "Department" does not appear in the Box UI search bar as a metadata filter option b/c it is multi-select.
79 votesWe have released the ability to search over Metadata multi select fields on the web. You can also search over such fields using the API: https://developer.box.com/reference/get-search/#param-mdfilters.
Documents uploaded/updated with MD multi select fields from this point going forward will be searchable via that field. Previously uploaded documents with MD multi-select fields will soon be searchable via those fields (backfill is in progress).

Annotate PDFs within Box iOS app
We do not want to utilize a 3rd-party application like PDF expert.
10 votesThis feature is now available for users to annotate PDFs from the iOS application in free-form annotations. We will also soon be releasing additional capabilities to highlight a region of a document or specific text and add comments.

Custom duration for trash auto-delete
Allow admins to create a custom duration (e.g. 3 years) for the auto-deletion of the trash.
