Box now sends reminder emails 24 hours before a task is due, as well as one when the task is overdue.
We may consider adding more granular controls in the future, based on feedback.

It would be very useful to have something more granular, for instance to be able to also sent a reminder a week after due date as well as to inform the assigner (and not merely the assignee).
A task tracker or dashboard would be another great addition to have a summarised view of all current or upcoming tasks
