Keep workflows active even after users are deactivated
I was reading through FAQs for Box Relay and I see that if a user is deleted their workflows are deactivated....
With no way to transfer workflows from one user to another don't you see this as a HUGE problem with the product?
If we are expected to use this in production to manage enterprise documents, what are we supposed to do when someone who created the workflows is removed? This would be a huge impact to any org. Especially if someone on a team is the creator of all the workflows. This would require someone to recreate them, and…

Metadata Cascading with Overwrite does not update but deletes and creates Metadata Instances
The request here is for box to update the current metadata instance object if already exists on a file/folder instead of deleting and creating new instance when cascading policy with overwrite is applied to a folder.
Box in the current behavior of Metadata Cascading with Overwrite option deletes the
existing metadata Instance and creates a new metadata instance object, this is causing conflicts when any custom business process through API has to manage metadata on items under the cascaded folders. Email Address Lists Shield
To support ethical walls, it would be advantageous to be able to create lists of email addresses for different teams within the same company so that collaboration and shared link access can be restricted. Example for private side, public side employees within an investment bank content could be classified for each with access controls in place to prevent sharing and collaboration.

Pop-up message when unintentionally shifting folders
It is strongly needed to have a pop-up message with Box Drive and Box Sync that allows the user to stop an unintentional shift of folders or files.

File request link and folder metadata in Box embed framework
Please expose file request link and folder metadata in Box embed framework that is leveraged in the Salesforce integration. This allows Salesforce users to have additional differentiation beyond what salesforce has and would open up our CCM use cases for onboarding as well as some records management.

Request a file link for Editors
Many of my customers are requesting for Editors to have the ability to generate request a file links. Owners and Co-Owners have very omniscient capabilities for folder configurations that Editors may not need (nor do the Owners want them to have) but because Editors do much of the editing and information creation/modification, it would be helpful if they could have the ability to request content.

iPhone default preview mode
With the recent iOS app update, all PDF’s when previewed in Landscape mode display the “activity” screen on the right hand side by default. This is an unwanted feature and I would prefer defaults to show the "activity" screen collapsed.

In App PDF reader changes make the app frustrating to use
Recently the UI for the PDF reader changed. I use Box primarily to read review copies of comic books, which DC Comics only make available to view in the app. Until recently this worked fine on my iPad, displaying the full page as I flipped through. I even liked the page flip of the interface enough that I upload other review copies to read them in the app. About three weeks ago, something in the UI changed, and now it no longer displays the full page, and I have to scroll on each page to read the whole thing. Box Drive supporting ".app" Mac OSx packages.

Provide overwrite switch in CLI to account for existing folder in download location
Currently BOX CLI download doesn't have overwrite action. If a folder already exists in the location where the new folder is being downloaded, the CLI errors out.
There should be a over-write switch to the box CLI folder download. It should be something like:
box folders:download Folder_ID --destination=<location> --over-write=Yes

File Request - Assign to Other Collaborator Permission Levels
Please allow Editors to send File Requests. Currently, only Owners and Co-Owners can send file requests. It would be extremely helpful if Editors could as well. In our organization, we have many with editor rights that could take advantage of this feature and would gain great efficiency . Making these users a Co-Owner will not work with our current permissions segregation.

Input file/folder ID instead of folder name in Files and Folders report
Quite often folders with same name appear when the folder name is entered for filtering the folder to create the report, resulting in the report being incorrect although after long time waiting for the report to be ready.
By allowing to filter by file/folder ID instead of folder name, such mistake can be avoided and the the filtering can be made more accurate.10 votesGreat news!

Box report status indicator
When exported reports are being generated in “Box Reports”, they would like more non-success outcomes to be shown in case the report times out, gets cancelled, pauses, etc, instead of continuing to show the “In Progress” status.

Simplify "File Request" window
I have users on my team still using ShareFile to specifically "request files" from external people because the process is simpler. Three key suggestions for the Box "File request" feature:
1) Can you streamline the pop-up window to focus on the "link" versus the embed widget link. 2) Expose the option/checkbox of the requestor to receive an email when the content is uploaded.
3) Allow the requestor to adjust the expiration date. Default would be tied to the admin link share policiesThanks!
