File Request - Assign to Other Collaborator Permission Levels
Please allow Editors to send File Requests. Currently, only Owners and Co-Owners can send file requests. It would be extremely helpful if Editors could as well. In our organization, we have many with editor rights that could take advantage of this feature and would gain great efficiency . Making these users a Co-Owner will not work with our current permissions segregation.

Editors can now create File Requests with the new experience which went GA in May. Thanks for your feedback!

I agree that Editors should be able to use File Request. We do not want to give other permissions to the teams we have set as Editors, but they would find the File Request capability very helpful. I would be in favor of allowing Admins to enable this feature at the organization level if some didn't want to allow it.

agreed. Our project filing is in a centralised folder, with just myself and a generic service account as the Owner/co-owner. The project managers are allocated Editor access to their project file, and this would be invaluable for them to be able to request files from external consultants.
The alternative is for them to set up their own folders, to give them this permission, which then risks our records not being in the centralised filing location. -

Yes, File Request Link would be very useful in the Salesforce integration which grants all users editor role

Why is this only available to the Owner or Co-owner of a folder? This should be a setting to allow Editors access to generate these file requests as well. -- I agree with this point made earlier!

It would be very useful to have this available for the Editor permission so it can be used within the Salesforce integration

It seems counter-intuitive in a closed taxonomy scenario that co-owner would be required to send the lesser-access option of a link, but inviting collaborators is still available at the editor level.

Certainly File Request feature should automatically be visible to Editors if the Enterprise Settings allow Editors to invite external parties to collaborate. The latter is a greater permission than the File Request feature itself so the current situation makes no sense.
