"Recents" feature - Feedback
There is a box notification above "Updates" page that states the following:
"Box has decided to end of life (EOL) the Updates feature on August 31, 2022. As an alternative to Updates, please use Recents to access content you have recently interacted with."
As "Recents" feature does not offer any information about other users' interaction in shared files and folders (comments, uploads, views, etc) and, additionally, the notification system does not work for most of these instances (comments without tagging, uploading, etc) or does not work well enough (many times there is no notification or it is well delayed), this EOL decision will render group working on box shared files literally unbearable...
Please reconsider or at least make more options for notifications, such that there is no loss of functionality.

It is very useful to see what files other users interact with on the Box so I can adjust my workflow if necessary. Hate to see the Updates feature go.

My issue exactly. What is the point of using Recents? Recents don't tell us the file has been viewed, downloaded, previewed etc. This is a big downer. Why is Box discontinuing this feature?

Having read this notification:
"Box has decided to end of life (EOL) the Updates feature on August 31, 2022. As an alternative to Updates, please use Recents to access content you have recently interacted with."
...I figured you should improve Recents to actually be a viable alternative to Updates. Right now, it's a very "ascetic" list, only displaying "All Recents" and "Viewed Via Shared Link" (which basically only displays which files were viewed when).
Updates, on the other hand, have several categories: All, Downloads, Uploads, Comments, Previews, Moves, Copies, Tasks, Joins, Openbox apps... I believe you should add at least some of these to Recents, before you retire the Updates section. It's quite valuable to see changes to files (downloads, uploads, comments, previews, moves/copies). I think Dropbox has something like that (at least they used to, before I switched to Box).
