For customers currently using Governance, the "File Version Limit" setting can be set to 1-100 or unlimited.
We would like this setting to be improved so that it can be specified as 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, etc. The reason is that problems may occur when there are multiple file versions when migrating between tenants or within a tenant, so I would like to limit this in the settings.2 votes
We have observed that for Relay, there is an option titled "Relay enabled for all managed users." However, we couldn't find a similar option for Box Governance [tried with a co-admin privileged account].
Moreover, we found that only for the co-admins, policies of using Box governance can be enabled.
Our specific request is to have the functionality to enable Box Governance for all managed users (not only the admin/co-admins), allowing each user to utilize these features individually.1 vote

The Bin/Trash UI displays Retention policy details the first time you trash an item until you navigate away.
Ability to have this info visible at all times in Trash UI would be helpful to end users and admin rather than running reports to check status of a single file.13 votes
Larger capacity and limit for exporting legal hold content
Currently, only two legal hold contents can be exported at a time, and the maximum export size is 4TB.
When there are many legal hold targets, the export setting needs to be repeated many times to download them, which takes a large amount of time.
Therefore, we would like you to revise the maximum number of targets and capacity.
Regardless of the recycle bin deadline, legal holds are a priority
Under the current legal hold specification, the following contents are deleted from the recycle bin and become invisible even if a legal hold is applied when a deadline is set in the recycle bin.
This is a very unfortunate specification, and we would like to see it improved so that legal holds are prioritized over recycle bin expiration dates and not deleted.
■Patterns that become invisible from the Recycle Bin
Folders and files deleted before legal hold
Folders/files deleted after legal hold
Don't move or delete content with legal holds to a different folder
The current specification is that content with a legal hold can be moved or deleted.
However, this is undesirable in a situation where fraud has been clarified.
Therefore, we would like to see an improvement so that it cannot be moved to another folder or deleted.
Additional features regarding the version history:
- The ability to manually update the version number of a document on initial upload. This would allow existing version numbers to match version numbers tracked in Box.
- The ability to add the version number tracked in Box to the file name when downloading documents. This would eliminate the need to manually update the version number in file names, which could be prone to error.
Please add the ability to delete empty parent folders that have reached a deletion threshold.
Currently only the contents of the folders are deleted leaving an orphaned empty parent folder that have to be manually deleted.1 vote
When a Retention Policy is active and I try to delete a user that does not have a content that is under retention policy, it is required to transfer their content to another user.
When the user that does not hold an item that is not under retention policy, I would like to have the user deleted without transferring their content.
This is because we are currently using an ecosystem called Hakonnect, which manages users, but it returns an error when trying to delete a user with retention policy on.2 votes
Ability for Legal Hold to notify user before they drop file in Trash2 votes
1. When "Legal Hold" is ON but no "Retention Policy" set
2. When I try to delete a user that is not related to the legal hold above, they need to transfer the content to another user.
Since it is a user that is not affected by the "Legal Hold", I would like to be able to use that user without transferring the content, which is the behaviour when there is no Governance setting.2 votes
This would include an option in the Admin Console > Enterprise Settings > Content & Sharing tab to allow only owners and co-owners to permanently delete content.1 vote

I'd like to see a checkbox for Co-Admins to see only the Governance tab with only the Legal Holds sub-tab.
Currently you can grant a Co-Admin permission to view and/or edit policies, which gets you close, but it also includes platform and retention policies at this time. It also inexplicably grants them access to a version of the Content tab I've never seen before.
We have a whole department for managing legal holds and conflicts. They have no need to see the data, they just need to know the name of the person or folder that needs to be put…1 vote
I would like a way to easily grant an admin access to all folders instead of having to add them to each root folder one by one.1 vote
Currently end users can move contents to trash even if it is under retention policy, I would like retention policy to also block users to send content to trash.3 votes
Currently you can only select metadata or folder when applying retention policy,
I would like to set the retention policy up by applying both metadata and folder.
This way I can restrict the specific content by narrowing down the files within the folder that has a specific metadata.3 votes
