Ability to Copy a Hub to a New Hub
Copy a hub would be a super helpful feature because today if you want to hub - in any way - you have to rebuild the new hub from scratch each time.
With a Copy Hub option when the copied hub is created, it would contain all the associated branding, structure, and content as the oroginal and the user would then be able to reuse that as necessary - change/add/remove - the new hub.9 votes -

Import native OneNote Notebooks into Box Notes
There are other applications that seem to allow importing MS OneNote (".one") files that have been exported (backed up) from OneNote. It would be great if your team would investigate and find a way, not necessarily to sync from OneNote, but to import OneNote files to continue editing from them, or even if only for view/read only access within the Box Notes interface.

Ability to edit captured data in BoxNote.
In the captured data pasted to Note
You can create a box for inserting text or highlighting it, or you can apply a mosaic to an arbitrary area.
I would like to be able to edit pasted images immediately.
Although it is possible to edit images by right-clicking with the current specifications (Windows 10),
You can only edit handwritten notes (pen, marker), arrows, and degrees.
After that, you can save the image by either copying it to the clipboard or saving it with a name.

Ability to share note with "view and comment" mode
As of today (2024-07-01), BoxNotes allow to share a link with either "edit" capabilities (you can edit everything) or "read-only" capabilities (you can only view). I'd be lovely to have a step in-between, that allows the person with the link to leave comments on the content but without the ability to modify it.
(I know it might be difficult to do, as it's probably tied to Box sharing capabilities)1 vote -

When entering comments in boxNote, we would like it to be clear which part the comment pertains to. (Imagine adding comments with the relevant section highlighted, similar to using a marker.)

Allow BoxNotes to add hyperlinks to images as well as text
On a normal website, you can click on a banner image to skip to the link, but BoxNotes does not allow you to do this, which is inconvenient.

Right now a GIF file cannot be pasted directly into a Box Note as a picture. I can paste a link to it, but not the actual picture itself.

Add the ability to fix scrollbars in tables
We make great use of the table feature of Box Notes and often create tables with a huge number of columns.
A while ago the UI was changed and scrollbars became available.
However, the longer the table is, the longer it takes to get to the scrollbar, because the scrollbar does not appear until I get to the bottom row.
I have to go further just to find the scroll bars, and I find this operation laborious.
Therefore, we would like the scrollbar to be fixed so that it always appears at the bottom of the table currently displayed on…16 votes -
Hyperlinks in Box Notes that open the page when clicked
Hyperlinked text should open the linked URL when clicked, once. Just like HTML hyperlinks have worked since 1993. If necessary to keep the current behavior, (click, open popup, click URL), you could add a "1-click" button to the popup controls to toggle the one-click behavior. A rollover-exposed control could allow return to the two-click behavior or just provide the URL/Edit/Delete options you have now.

Currently boxnotes can only be accessed in web or app which is not useful enough consider it cannot be converted to pdf or docx for further collaboration / storage. Need an API to export boxnotes.

PII and PI fields for text within Boxnotes for granular access control

At our company, we commonly use BoxNotes for meeting minutes and similar documents. When instructed to summarize the contents of the notes into a table format, it does so correctly. Preventing images pasted in Box Notes from becoming individual files
When I paste an image into Box Notes, the image is created as a separate file from the Note and the public range is controlled by a shared link.
If I want to set a publication range other than the default setting, I have to change the publication range on a file-by-file basis.

Functionality to embed and directly edit Excel in Box Note.
When a shared link is included in Box Note, it is possible to embed the preview of Box's interface. However, I request the ability to directly edit an Excel file when a shared link for Excel is included.
While Box Note does have a feature to insert tables, it inevitably falls short in functionality compared to Excel. Enabling direct online editing would allow for the maximum utilization of Box Note's collaborative editing capabilities.

Heading 1/2/3 Keyboard Commands for Box Notes for Feature Parity in Google Docs
As a new boxer, I have found it odd to not have certain keyboard commands in Box Notes that I am accustomed to in other similar apps (specifically Google Docs). The one that I would prioritize would be to quickly change heading styles. In Google Docs it is (on a Mac) Command+Option+1/2/3/(0 for "Body") while text is highlighted or at the beginning of a new line.
Hopefully this can be quickly implemented as it would be a welcome addition to heavy users of Box Notes.
