Dynamically name signed documents based on metadata: signer's full name, company, email and others
When there are documents in the same folder or templates that are repeatably signed with the same name (Ready Sign Link, Batch Send), Box Sign adds a number and () to the filename to note the different/unique files.
There needs to be a better way to name the files - perhaps using metadata or using the unique id of the sign request. And then all files - signed docs and signed log would be renamed with the same name. Otherwise it's very hard to tell files apart when they all have the same name with just a number and ()…

Box Sign via Text / SMS
Make it possible to send documents to be signed via text messages and other apps, such as WhatsApp, etc. Many of our clients don't have email addresses.

Save password settings in template definitions
I would like to be able to save password settings for each recipient in the template definition.
If a customer-specific template has been defined and a password has been agreed upon with the customer, this will save the time and effort of setting a password each time.(Japanese)
テンプレート定義に受信者ごとのパスワード設定を保存できるようにして欲しい。
顧客専用のテンプレートが決まっており、かつ、顧客との間でパスワードの取り決めもなされている場合、毎回パスワード設定を行う手間が省けます。14 votes -

When creating a sign template,I want to specify a location for saving requests in a folder different from where the template is saved.
When creating a sign template, I want to specify a location for saving requests in a folder different from where the template is saved.
Currently, when a request save location is specified in a template, the template is also saved in the specified request save location.
If I move the template file to another folder, the request save location set in the template will also change to the destination folder.
I don't want to re-specify a different folder to save the request each time I create a sign request from a template.

Remaining files that are no longer needed when using templates
When creating a signature request from "Use Template", a file with a () at the end of the file name is created, and furthermore, when using the "Replace" function, the file remains in the folder.
The remaining files should be deleted when no longer needed.
「テンプレートを使用」から署名リクエストを作成する際に、ファイル名の後端に()のついたファイルができ、さらに「置き換え」機能を使うとそのファイルがフォルダに残ってしまう。
不要となった残ファイルは削除されることが望ましい。

Box Sign requests default "my requests" folder
Box Sign requests default to save into a "my requests" folder for all users. We don't always need the sign request saved into our regular Box folder structure and having a separate place for each user to send their requests to would be more beneficial.

Ability to apply Box Sign template to document that is generated from another system of record to execute for signature
Currently a document is generated from a system of record pre-filled with fields such as customer name, date, claim number, etc. Within DocuSign, you have the ability to apply a template to the document so that the signer fills out the remaining fields and signs the document.

Ability for admin to configure expiry duration of open links that are sent to recipient's
Box Sign uses open links to distribute completed agreements to all recipients. This open link expires after 14 days. Some customers want to make this shorter or zero to protect sensitive information and some other customers want to make it longer as recipient's dont want to create accounts in order to access the agreement after the 14 day period.
Please add a feature in admin console so that the admin can decide the expiry period for their enterprise

Box Sign - ability to disable in-person role
Currently, malicious user will easily be able to impersonate the recipient. To prevent fraud, disabling in-person role is necessary.

Ability to set delegator on Box Sign prior to sending out document to be signed.
The idea is similar to adobe sign where we can assign a delegator to fields which basically means it forces that person to delegate the document for signature. I know box sign already has delegation which is called 're-assign request' but this is not ideal as some of our teams have noticed where people cut corners and sign on behalf of that person.
This way it can be enforced from the get go.

Using Box Sign for forms
It would be helpful to leverage Box Sign to fill out forms. Currently, Box Sign does not allow for the Sign process to proceed unless a signature field is dropped into the document. We have a scenario where we wanted to have someone fill out text fields with various information as a step before a signature is placed. Perhaps a separate feature called Box Forms which allows those fields to be dropped in and populated onto a document before it gets to Sign?

Ability to save a sign request as a draft | draft sign request
When preparing documents, there is no feature for draft-saving. This would be very helpful to have.

Merge files into Single PDF once the Signature process is done
It is good to have the new features for uploading multiple files and converting them to PDF format. But it would be greater if the documents are merged into a single PDF file. Because some supporting documents need to be attached together with the signature page. like RFPs + Invoices attached. Also for less file output because the box sign is just making a copy of the supporting documents and converting it to PDF which can cause confusion in the files once populated.

Rows of logs of Sign show different level of file paths
Log of Sign Operations
The logs of Sign operations show either full paths or the lowest path only, for the same file.
If Box Sign were to export paths with the same level i.e. everything is in full paths, it'd be much easier to handle logs.

Restrict users to only use Sign templates i.e. not be able to send ad-hoc requests
In banking we want to prevent any user error and they should only send requests through officially created templates

Box Sign links in "completed" emails are insecure
Box Sign sends an email to a signer (subject "Completed: [name of document]") after all the documents have been signed. This link gives anyone with the link access to the document in question with no additional authentication (e.g. MFA, password, Box login) needed. This link ignores folder or Box Shield settings restricting the use of shared links and cannot be manually removed or expired. Email, without any additional protections, is not considered secure enough for transmittal of certain types of protected information (e.g. patient health information under HIPAA). A bad actor who grabs this post-signing email from a patient who…
