  1. Ability to save reports to a custom location

    With the upcoming report scheduling function, coupled with improved filters to better streamline reports that are generated, it would be really useful to be able to define a custom save location for a report that is generated as part of that process (i.e. to any folder within your box instance and not just the default 'reports' bucket).

    Our use case is that we'd like to set up a series of scheduled reports (soon possible!), each one filtered to activities within a specific folder (also now possible!) and then have that report automatically save into the folder to which it relates…

  2. Users who have permission to output reports should be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights

    Under the current specification, only administrators or authorized co-administrators can select the "target folders and files" when outputting the User Activity Report.
    For the sake of business efficiency, I would like to see users who have permission to output reports be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights.

    現在の仕様では、ユーザーアクティビティレポートを出力の際管理者または、権限の付与された共同管理者のみ「対象のフォルダとファイル」が選択可能です。
    これをレポート出力権限を持っているユーザーは、業務効率上、自分のアクセス権がある範囲の中で「対象のフォルダとファイル」を選択できるようにしてほしい。

  3. Split and transfer data to several users when the owner is deleted (including folder assignment)

    Hi,
    it would be nice if I could split the data of a user to be deleted among more than 1 other user.

    If, for example, a department head leaves the company and another head takes over the disciplinary part on an interim basis, but the technical issues are still mapped in the department, it makes sense to be able to separate the structures. We are currently transferring the disciplinary page manually.

  4. Transfer ownership of a file

    I was blown away that I can't change the ownership of "files", only folders. We have a user that retired and we need to transfer ownership of all her content to other employees (not just a single employee). Transferring ownership of a "folder" is easy and straightforward.

    Box has a limitation that prevents you from transferring ownership of an individual file. This user has about 40 files at their root of her account (under All Files). The only way to change ownership is to move the file into a folder and then share and change the ownership of the folder.…

  5. ADD LOCKED FOLDERS LIST IN THE USER ACTIVITY REPORT

    Currently we have no way to look up which holders are locked via FolderLockAPI.
    To avoid any trouble not knowing who has been locked,
    we'd like to request to add the locked folders list in the user activity report.

  6. Restrict Number of users in Group

    I would like the option to restrict the number of users in a group.
    The reason is each department has a cap to how many users they can register and if we can stop other admin adding more than they are allowed, it would make the management easier.

  7. Report on new data platform doesn't reflect latest information

    Report on new data platform doesn't reflect latest information

    To improve report performance, Box migrated legacy to new data platform on collaboration report recently. However, new one will take about 24 hours to reflect latest data into exported report. It could be harder for admin to audit new collaboration on enterprise using report feature. There are two request for this change :

    • Make sure that admin knows when the exported report is as of
    • Reflect much faster like User Detail Report which can reflect 1 hours ago

  8. Capability to restrict third party apps from creating folders on first level

    Currently, even if the tenant setting is set to allow only administrators and co-administrators to create folders on the first level, there is a security problem that third party apps can create folders on the first level even if the user-created application as a JWT application is given only the minimum permissions required to run the application, such as "app access only" and "write to all files and folders stored in Box.
    For this reason, I would like to see whether to grant administrative privileges or not clearly added to the configuration item so that it can be controlled.

  9. Add external collaborator's expiration date on collaboration report

    In the collaboration report, there are invited date and accepted date, but there is no expiration date. Would it be possible to add expiration date in the collaboration report?
    Because it is too tough to confirm the expiration date one by one on the collaboration list page or using API, I demand the way to confirm enitre expiration date easily.

  10. Collaboration Allowlist - Ability to Download and Sort

    On Admin Console enterprise settings > collaboration allowlist the domains are not in order and there’s no good way to search it. When you have more than 20 domains it becomes unusable for anything but adding. Need ability to sort/filter as well as export allowlist details.

    Time spent on the Box Resource

    We would like to get information on the amount of time spent on a particular resource(viz like pdf, ppt etc). We looked into the api documentation and could not find this info.

    when a user views a certain resource we want to log the time the user spent on the resource.

  12. Enhance User Details Report to indicate storage used in 'Bytes'

    Show the storage used in Bytes in User Details Report:
    When we run the user details reports from the admin console, we notice that there is users showing as owning 0 amounts of storage, however when we look at the account manually, we can see that they do own content in their accounts. The User Details Report shows storage used in MB. We need to be able to report accurate metrics on the usage of Box across our departments on storage used.

  13. Improvements on output of collaboration report

    There is a time lag in the output of the collaboration report.

    There is a 24-hour time lag since the recent revision.
    I would like to see improvements so that the content of the collaboration report is reflected in real time.

  14. Generate report that includes folders where users have set notifications

    We need a report that allows us to see which folders users have set notifications for.
    If there is a problem that does not get notified, the administrator can check the report to find out what is going on.

    ユーザーがどのフォルダに通知設定をしているか確認できるレポートがほしい。

  15. Wants to find move operation from the source folder

    User Activity report searches the destination folder which the file currently exists. However in move operation, the customer wants to search not only the destination folder but also the source folder.

  16. Store all generated Box Reports into a Single Shared Folder for the Enterprise

    Need a common folder in the enterprise to store reports generated by box by admins and various co-admins. This will reduce the load on the box platform as well as it will significantly reduce duplicate runs.     In the current pull-down menu for session duration, there are only 8 hours after 2 hours.

  19. Include Folder Description in File/folder reports

    Due t the large amount of files, folders and collaborators (internal and external) in our organization we heavily rely on folder/file reports to manage content and educate new users about the content layout. Being able to include the "Folder Description" in this report would be TREMNDOUSLY helpful. Is this something you could add in the very near future? Thank you.

  20. Include a Domains or Enterprise column in External Collaborations Report

    Currently, if you create an external collaborations report in the Admin Console you will have columns that include a user's email address and whether they are External. Ideally, for some use cases it is helpful to be able to organize this data by enterprise/domain so you can see what information/content is not only being shared with which users, but which enterprises as a whole at a more macro level
