Setting to be notified when a specific file, folder, or note is modified.

We have a team that needs to be notified when a Note is modified. They are using comments to achieve this. It would be a great setting option to receive notifications on modifications to a specific file, folder or note.
Please let me know if there is a solution for this that I am not aware of.
