PII and PI fields for text within Boxnotes for granular access control
Customer-facing workers would like to be able to create, store and manage information about their customers in order to better serve them. This often involves storing personally-identifiable information (PII) within Boxnotes. The feature request is the ability to mark or tag specific pieces of text (such as a person's name for example) as PII and control who has access to view such PII. This is because many knowledge workers are part of large distributed teams, and many of the team members need access to the customer-related information within Boxnotes, but not the PII. This would be a way to make knowledge-sharing as well as PII protection both simultaneously easy to do.
(The alternative would be to create multiple copies of every Boxnote document - one containing the PII, one containing only select personal information (PI), one without any PI, etc. This is time-consuming and increases the digital footprint exponentially.)
