Limit the resources being used by Box Sync
Users would like an option to limit the resources being used by box sync. This is affecting coworkers; it is not just an issue with machine.
We are not planning to implement controls around this in Box Sync. You may consider trying Box Drive to see if that improves the resource utilization issue. Since it only uses bandwidth for content users access, it may help to improve things here.

Too many times I have been trying to start working on data analysis and/or just accessing small PowerPoint files for viewing and Box Sync ramps my CPU to nearly 100% for about an hour as it scans through the hundreds of GB of data my lab group has stored there. As the person within the group that oversees proper storage, I have a custom built PC (by my own hands) and this has been a reoccurring issue ever since we switched over entirely to Box.
