Force removal of local copy of item which has been sync'ed
One of our common workflows on Dropbox was
- Move large file to the (Dropbox, now Box) folder
- Wait for (Dropbox, now Box) to upload that content to the cloud storage
- Right-click on the file and select an option to force it to "Online Only" mode, which would remove the local copy, freeing up the disk space
It seems that there is no way to do that last bit with Box Drive, and there absolutely should be. For many folks, the premise of cloud storage is "get this off my local disk", and waiting until some random cache times out days later isn't a good, viable, option.
Right now the only option seems to be the very-kludgy "log completely out of Box" (which is a broadsword solution to a problem that deserves a scalpel).

I'm moving 100+ GB of data to BOX for archiving and then want to free up locally disk space. The folder is not set to sync, but there is no way to tell Box to remove the physical local copy to allow more disk space. MS One Drive has this option, but Box does not. Our organization is trying to transition to Box, but this makes it difficult to see the competitive advantage to BOX without an option to not persist a local copy of files after moving to Box in bulk, which are longer need locally.
Is there any recommended resolution?
Product Support only have how to sync and un-sync but that doesn't really apply.
