Expose technical metadata
In order to find e.g. the largest version of a media file or to define if the technical parameters of a media file are sufficient for further processing, the exposure of technical meta data should be provided by Box in a standard meta data template which should automatically apply to any file stored in Box.
Technical metadata are:
- for page-based documents like PDF, MS Office, Indesign: number of pages, format/orientation, size in mm h/w
- for bitmap image files (tif, jpg, png, bmp, gif, ...): no of pixels h/w, size in mm w/h, resolution, color space, embedded color profile, color depth in Bit, created with software
- for vector and CAD images (eps, svg, ai, dxf, dwg, etc.): size of the workspace in mm w/h, color space, created with software, color depth in Bit, created with software
- for 3D format (c4d, etc.): size in mm h/w/d, created with software, color space, color depth in Bit
- for videos (mp4, avi, vob, aep, prproj, etc.) : duration in h:m:s, color space, dimensions in px w/h, created with software
