Hubs Contents
We would like to use Box Hubs as a knowledge base where team members can continuously share and accumulate information.
For example, in our procurement department, each buyer creates documents such as:
Supplier visit reports
Meeting minutes
Lessons learned
Best practices
Our goal is for each buyer to add these documents directly to a Hub so that the entire team can easily search and access the accumulated knowledge.
However, with the current permission model, only the Hub Owner/Co-owner (or users with folder ownership, depending on the Hub settings) can add content to a Hub. As a result, Editors cannot contribute directly, and a Hub administrator must add every document manually. This creates unnecessary administrative work and discourages continuous knowledge sharing.
We understand that Box Hubs is designed as a curated content portal, and the current permission model helps maintain security. However, many organizations would also like to use Hubs as a collaborative knowledge repository.
We would appreciate additional permission options, such as:
Allow Editors to add content to selected Hubs.
Allow Hub administrators to approve submitted content before it becomes visible.
Allow content to be added without automatically changing access permissions for Hub members.
These options would make Box Hubs much more effective for enterprise knowledge management while still maintaining security and governance.
