Source Type and Source Id Filters for Events Stream API
In order to filter events for specific files in a scalable way, you need to persist the data to a 3rd-party data store. If you're able to filter by specific files/folders by id, you can access the full history of a given file and create a view based on those results which is extremely common in many content platforms.

Add email information to COLLABORATION_INVITE event
"COLLABORATIONINVITE" event should include "user email" information.
We understand "userid" is unique attribute within Box to specify the user and user.id
is included with "COLLABORATION_INVITE" attribute.
It would be better if this also captured user email information.1 vote -
Watermarked PDFs currently output at large sizes when embedded
Embedding watermarked PDFs currently come out at larger sizes than when embedding regular PDFs from Box. Would be nice for the user to be able to configure it the size it outputs at.

Enablement Governance APIs for free developer accounts
Currently, governance APIs are not enabled in the free developer accounts. This removes the ability to perform local unit testing and developers must perform unit testing in another environment. Since accounts are developer sandboxes, there is less risk in testing with pseudo-permanent APIs such as Retention Policies.

Box Platform Performance in EMEA suffering
We'remer using Box to replace existing ECM system. Transaction, after code optimisation takes 11 seconds when using caches and 20+ when no caches are used. Due to the time taken to perform transaction that future use cases are under threat and the performance volumes required cannot be met with current performance metrics.

Box CLI resend
The use case is we would like to resend/remind collaborators with invites of status "pending" using the Box CLI. Triggering new email notifications from Box.
Presently we have to list the collaborators pending > csv, delete the collaboration, then collaborate again. A single call would make this much more efficient.

box-ui-elements content-explorer needs real thumbnails
The Content Explorer element needs at least the option to use actual file thumbnails rather than the generic ones based on file type currently shown. Otherwise browsing large collections of images and videos is severely handicapped. The API appears to have a thumbnail/representation endpoint so hopefully this is not a big ask.
Other things that would really improve Content Explorer for our use case:
- list/grid toggle button
- ability to hide the modified date and owner (useless for our application which is a repository of read-only archived files uploaded by an uploader app)0 votes -
Provide read-only scope for user information
I'd like to provide our central identity management team a way to tell whether or not a given Box user has a > 0 byte usage before they delete the user's account (for example, as someone leaves our organization). I'd like to give them read-only API access to https://api.box.com/2.0/users, without giving them any additional access. Support tells me that this isn't currently possible. It'd be nice if it was--this could be useful for a number of other uses, too, such as reporting.

We don’t offer an API endpoint for these types of queries today, so it’s not possible to add.
When you create a user that already exists, you get a 409 error code returned – user already exists. Is this sufficient?

GET invite rejection event
There is collaboration invite event (COLLABORATION_ACCEPT), but we want to GET rejection invite event as well.

Option to select a folder_id other than 0 (the user's root folder) within the Move Owned Items API.
As a large company, we aim to fully automate the deprovisioning of users using Box Platform.
We would like an option within the Move Owned Items API (https://developer.box.com/v2.0/reference#move-folder-into-another-users-folder) to select a destination location other than 0 (all files).
The goal would be to automate this process and allow folders and files to be moved within an existing folder rather than at the root level.

Support alternate URL's for end-users who block Box
Some external clients are blocking *box.com and as a result can't use the app built on Box platform.

Add Managed Domains list to API Endpoint
We would like to be able to make an API call to retrieve the list of managed domains for or Enterprise. We can only do this from the Admin Console today.

We do not plan to suppress these updates. However, we will reconsider if we get additional feedback from other users.

Folder Level App Integration in Developer Console
Is there any plan to allow developers to give folder access to Web App integrations without having to request a special permission from Box?
In the current process, Developers can enable the context menu for folders to present integration features, but to do so they must contact Box first. "Send a request to Box for pre-approval to build a folder-level integration."
We would like the ability to add folder level integrations via the Developer Console without having to contact Box Support.

Add API for CORS Domains
With the introduction of the UI Elements, managing CORS domains has been really important for developers who create third party apps that are then used across many domains owned by their customers. This gets unwieldy to manage manually.
