  2. Request for improvement of Box mobile app problem when enlarging image data.

    This is a feature improvement request regarding the preview function of Box mobile app.

    When using Box mobile app to preview and enlarge scanned paper or photographed image data on a mobile device,

    the quality of the image data is poorer than when previewing and enlarging image data in Box GUI operated with a web browser, and small text cannot be displayed.

    Reviewing PDFs of A3 size architectural drawings or checking details of diagrams in manuals is inconvenient with Box mobile app.

  3. A function that allows users to check classification labels at the folder level from the mobile app.

    When storing highly confidential information in Box, it is necessary for each end user to recognize that the folder as a whole contains confidential information.
    While BoxWeb can recognize folders that confidential information by using classification labels, the mobile app (Box for EMM) cannot.
    Since users need to be aware that the folder as a whole handles confidential information, please implement a function that allows users to check classification labels at the folder level from the mobile app.

  4. Need to see a setting button added to the Box Mobile shooting mode screen to "select photo quality"

    When capturing photos directly for inclusion in Box Notes, the high camera performance of the iPhone results in large file sizes for each individual photo.
    As a consequence, it takes a considerable amount of time for photo to be displayed(uploaded) within the Box Notes.

    To address this issue, I would appreciate it if the option to "select photo quality" could be extended to the camera capture mode as well.

    Currently, the option to "select photo quality" is available only in the continuous capture mode.

  5. Request for the ability to zoom in and out and preview clearly after displaying TIF.

    When viewing a TIF file in a browser, it is clear, but in a mobile app, the TIF file is not clear
    When viewing a TIF file in a mobile app, it is difficult to view it via the mobile app because there is no zoom in/out function, so it is pinch-enlarged and not clear even when zoomed in, so it must be downloaded to a local library for viewing.

    When uploading files from the mobile app, the maximum upload limit is 15 GB, regardless of the plan.
    We would like this limit to be the same as the upload limit of the plan we have purchased.

  7. Save local copy of Mobile upload when using Capture feature

    Some customers in legal and insurance industries utilize the Capture feature in the Box mobile app to upload sensitive content for legal proceedings and insurance claims (i.e. depositions and statements). If an upload fails when leveraging the Capture feature, that file is not saved locally, and it is not possible to re-attempt the upload. This has major ramifications on the customer's business and legal processes, and should be addressed by auto-saving a copy of the Capture file locally, especially in cases where the upload attempt fails

  9. About the display when Box is opened from the Team mobile app with the mobile screen mode "dark mode".

    I use my mobile to access Box on the Teams mobile app.
    When the mobile screen mode is set to "Dark Mode", the screen will appear dark when the "Box Files" option on the Teams mobile app is selected and the box is opened, making it impossible to see file names, etc.
    Please improve the Box so that it can be used in dark mode.

  10. When a client is viewing on their phone in browser, the video should go full screen when they hold their phone horizontally.

    I have clients who view our videos on their phone everyday. I can’t control if they have the box ap or what phone/browser they use. But they should be able to view our videos full screen horizontally. Currently it will go full screen Vertically, but if they move their phone horizontally it is a weird zoomed in look that is not full screen.

  11. Show full file names within iOS app

    The current iOS mobile app by design only shows the first 10-12 characters of file names in portrait mode. It is not much better in landscape mode. This makes the app very hard to work with if you have many files which have the same first 20-50 characters. It should be possible to view the full file names in the iOS app.

    When viewing a file in the viewer on mobile, I want the close button to be displayed.

    Boxer posting on behalf of a customer:

    Box for Apple Vision Pro is not using the same API as the iPad app and doesn't show up in the 'Files' browser.

    Because of this oversight none of the Apple apps can use files in the box browser the way they do on iPadOS. No collaboration or work on files in box is possible.

    When I open a subfolder of a folder registered in "Favorites" on the iPad version of the Box app, tapping "Favorites" does not respond.
    If you want to browse another folder in the Favorites list, you have to go back up the hierarchy to the Favorites list.
    Also, even if I open "All Files" and then tap "Favorites", the hierarchy that has been displayed until now is displayed, which increases man-hours and is inconvenient for work efficiency.

  16. Overwrite when uploading a file with the same name in Box for iOS

    If a file with the same name as a file stored in the Box is uploaded, the Web browser will overwrite the file and update the file version.
    However, on iPhones and iPads, when a file with the same name is attempted to be uploaded to Box for iOS, a "name conflict" error occurs and it cannot be overwritten.

  17. Request to improve behavior where updaters are visible only when operating from mobile

    Hi Box Teams,

    I would like to improve the following behavior.

    Problem behavior:
    If non-collaborators access the People with the link from Box's web app, they won't see who updated the file, but if they access it from Box's mobile app, they'll see who updated the file.

    This problem occurs when a folder's co-owner or owner updates a file. If the user has the permission of the editor or lower, the user who updated the file is displayed as "Anonymous".

  18. Bring excel online previewer to mobile

    Bring the features of Excel Online Previewer to the mobile app. Currently formatting is stripped and long text boxes are cutoff when previewing an excel document on mobile. It would be ideal to have the formatting remain the same and be viewable within preview, OR as a backup to be able to drag to resize directly from within preview - like you can on desktop.

    The Box Mobile apps don't adhere to the Azure Conditional Access policies. This is a major security issue for companies that control company-managed devices. If we allow it without Conditional Access Policies, then anyone with a non-company managed device will have access and this is a major security issue. Please address this as soon as possible.   20. Long audio data upload from Box Mobile fails

    When you "record audio" and tap "save recording" in the Box Mobile application, "Saving" is displayed, but the file is not saved on box.
    It occurs when the capacity is large (recording time is long), and when it occurs, the recorded data disappears without being saved anywhere, which is a problem.
    I'm hoping for an improvement that will allow stable uploading of long recording data.
    If the upload fails, I would like the data to remain on the terminal or be able to retry.

    Box Mobile アプリケーションで「音声を録音」し、「録音を保存」をタップすると、「保存しています」と表示されるが、box上にファイルが保存されない現象が発生します。
    容量が大きい(録音時間が長い)場合に発生し、発生した場合に録音データがどこにも保存されずに消えてしまうことが問題となっています。
    長時間の録音データでも安定したアップロードができるような改善を期待しています。
    アップロードに失敗した場合は端末にデータが残るか、リトライできるようにしてほしいです。
