Separate Device Trust settings for webapp on mobile browser vs desktop browser
We want to have a separate Device Trust setting for webapp on mobile browser and desktop browser. We would like to enable Device Trust for mobile browser only (that is, block webapp on mobile browser) while not requiring Device Trust check for login from desktop PCs. Currently, there is only a single setting for webapp and 3rd party apps. We would like this to be more granular and have a separate config for mobile browser and desktop browser.

Show the password when typing to avoid typo's
Add an option for the user to see the password they are typing to avoid typos when sending to the client. At the moment, there is no option to see what you have typed until the client is telling you that the password doesnt work. Especially with caps, symbols etc.

Co-Owner should be able to confirm the destination of the file (or the user who operated it)./Co-ownerにもファイルの移動先(あるいは、操作したユーザー)確認をできるようにしてほし
We know that if we want to know where a folder has been moved to, we can ask the administrator to output it from the report.
However, We would like the Co-owner to be able to check the destination of the file (or the user who operated it) in case of urgency.(In Japanese)
フォルダの移動先を知りたい場合、管理者に問い合わせる事でレポートから出力する事が可能である事ですが
急ぐ場合にCo-ownerにもファイルの移動先(あるいは、操作したユーザー)確認をできるようにしてほしいです。3 votes -
Change configuration shared links - expiration policy
Currently it is possible to configure an expiry policy for shared links for a period of up to 10 years, the logic in which this option is programmed is contradictory in itself.
Once this policy is implemented from the administration console, expecting that links can be removed/expired after a certain period of time in order to have more control and security over the shared content the end user can simply remove this setting (expiry policy) at the time they are creating their shared link.
The end user is practically overwriting the configuration at the environment admin level.

Watermarking only for downloads
Watermarking in the Box view is intrusive. Allow for water marking feature to be marked as an option for downloaded materials only.

Intermediate collaborator permission level between "Editor" and "Viewer/Uploader"
"Viewer/Uploader" is the second state in the series of current box collaborator permission levels for general users. However its operable range is very limited comparing to "Editor".
It would be more convenient for users to have another subdivided level or two, such as "Semi-Editor" which is possible to operate files but unable to change levels.3 votes -
Device Trust Whitelisting
Provide ability to whitelist devices while Device Trust is enabled. We would like to enable Device Trust requiring both Domain and Certificate. But we also have lab hosts that are not domain members or have issued certificates. We would like to be able to allow hosts not meeting the Device Trust settings to login.

Automated way to manage 2 Step verification for external collaborators
Provide API support to manage 2 Step verification settings for external collaborators .
Our use case is to "enable only for select domains/users". It is difficult to impossible to manage this for 1000's of external collaborators via the admin console. looking for an API support here to automate the process of managing the external user's 2 Step verification settings. The API should offer
1. Add external collaborator domain and specific email id to the 2 step verification
2. Query status given a domain or user email address
3. API to remove a given user / domain3 votes -
Device Trust documentation and error message should explicitly describe encryption requirements for external drives
The Device Trust message is misleading as it states “All internal disks must be encrypted” when it should state “All disks must be encrypted”. In addition, the language under Setting-Up-Device-Trust-Security-Requirements here https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044194993 states "Require all disks to be encrypted: Helps protect against data loss by requiring disk encryption software" but it only describes in detail internal disk encryption. It would be helpful if it stated here that all external disks must also be encrpyted.

Hardware security option for Login
So far there is no option of hardware security, like Yubico/ Yubikey or similar security keys that require physical identification (I have just checked with your service). SMS code/confirmation is a poor alternative. Please consider option to use USB computer security keys (Dropbox has it, so stay in line with competion, as you are much better!) https://www.yubico.com/works-with-yubikey/join/

Customer Privacy
I noticed a bug in your system. You can set permissions so that users cannot see other users. However, I discovered a loophole that would compromise this and allow users to access other user's personal information like email addresses. When typing an email on the comments section, it will display other user's email addresses even when those permission are set off. I was told by a Box customer service rep that there is no way to set user permissions and avoid that customer privacy problem.

Choosing access permission of a user by the network (IP)
We want Box service to be able to control the access permission to the file within the same user by the access source (network, device, etc.).
Example:
-When accessed from an internal network, access permission is "Editor", and when accessed from an external network, this user becomes "Previewer".
-Although "Editor" can be performed from a corporate PC, only "Preview" can be performed from a private PC.3 votes -

Prevent internal users collaborating on external content
This would prevent the possibility that users might collaborate on content that they do not own and from uploading or sharing content into spaces not owned by their own organisation

The ability to check the characters when setting/typing the password for shared link and account
When we're entering passwords of shared links and accounts, we want to check it by seeing the actual characters.
For example, this request has been achieved on the following page:
https://account.box.com/signup/n/personal
Is it possible for you to implement the same button in the account ligin page and the shared link setting window?

Password reset process is cumbersome
Even with the understanding that my specific situation might add a few steps, it is significantly longer and more involved than the analogous process for any other product, tool, or service that I use. I have described the steps that I have to go through and would encourage the Box Developers and UX Teams to consider a more seamless way to do this in some future release.
Reset Password – Box Drive
Key:
- = optional step, performed for positive validation that the new password was accepted
+ = step that is specific to my setup- At Windows/Domain login, notification…

Block users by geography
We'd like the ability to block users from accessing our Box environment from certain geographical areas, via a control in the admin console’s insights page (the geographic activity area).
