Fix missing Access-Control-Allow-Origin header for CORS 401 requests
This relates to the upload files API endpoint (https://developer.box.com/reference/post-files-content/) but likely applies to other endpoints as well.
When making a call to the above endpoint via CORS, you provide a Bearer token to the request. This token is used to identify the box account to make the request on behalf of, which is then used to return an Access-Control-Allow-Origins header configured to that box account's CORS whitelisted domains.
In the case of a successful request to the above endpoint, the OPTIONS preflight request returns the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header with the request origin set. The actual POST request then returns…

Print Into Box
I want to be able to print documents into Box by having Box appear as a printer like adobe so that if I am working in an application that generates a document, I can print it into box rather than having to save it and then upload it.

Enable to obtain information about the uploader of a file uploaded via file request.
I would like to use the Box API to obtain information about the uploader of a file uploaded via a file request.
In the current specification, the "createdby" and "modifiedby" names of these files are both "Anonymous User" even if the file was uploaded by a user who is logged into Box.3 votes -

I would like to be notified when an error occurs and an item cannot be uploaded, or to be able to check the error log in the report.
エラーが発生してアイテムのアップロードができなかった際に通知、またはレポートでエラーログを確認できるようにしてほしい
内容
When an error occurs when uploading a large number of items, it is difficult to list the items that could not be uploaded from the UI.
For this reason, we would like the following functions to be added.
・If an error is detected when uploading to a folder that contains file requests, notify the user who uploaded the file or the owner of the file via e-mail or on the web.
・A function to output the log of failed uploads to the user activity report.<Japanese>
6 votes -
Please add detailed logging for upload issues/failures
Please add logging for upload errors so admins can properly troubleshoot errors. Right now there's no information shown beyond the folder causing an upload issue and no details on why the upload failed ie: file or folder name, format, length, etc.

Sender details included with uploads
Our internal users receive an uploaded file notice but are not able to see who uploaded it. Can we receive sender details when external users are uploading files?

File Request uploads to Box include uploader's user information
The following would be ideal:
When uploaded via File Request and logged into Box, the uploaded file(s) will contain the uploader's user information such as name, email address, and more (more detailed information such as tracking code values) in metadata. This idea is based on a use case of a college where a large number of students submit documents via File Request, and college administrators want to make sure which document was submitted by who, referring to the document's metadata.

API Calls to Get Folder ID from File Request URL
Currently the only way to get the Folder ID that's associated for a File Request URL that exists is to know the Folder ID or the File Request ID that you're looking for before you do. Its easy if the user says this is the folder, but if they only have the link you're forced to run User Activity reports to attempt to locate what was created, even harder if you don't know the original user who created the file request and they don't know the folder.
It would be extremely beneficial to be able to make an API call…

Stand up on bandwidth and API usage.
Hi I am a user on the Enterprise plan, but the limitations on upload/download and API calls for the Enterprise plan are really not enough.
Can the monthly file upload and download or bandwidth usage limit be changed to 10TB?
As for API calls per month, can the monthly API call limit be changed to 2,000,000?
I think this replacement rule proposal is a good fit for both parties.

We'd like to limit amount of metadata downloaded by folder GET operation
We upload one or more files daily to the same folder so the content list of this folder keeps growing. In order to upload first step is to GET the folder by id. This step (https://developer.box.com/reference/get-folders-id/) appears to download metadata of every file in the folder and there's no way to limit it. It ends up being completely unnecessary because preflight check (https://developer.box.com/reference/options-files-content) doesn't need any of it. So, there should be a parameter in folder GET to skip downloading so much metadata.

Rollback all files uploaded even if one fails to upload
Under the current design, when uploading multiple files, the successful files are stored in Box, even if one of the uploads fails. As a result, subsequent processing, e.g. adding metadata, may also not take place. This is inconvenient for the user under the usecase of using File Request+Metadata. The user has to look for files that were not uploaded and has to check the metadata for files that were uploaded. And if the uploader is anonymous, it's impossible. This Pulse requests that if one or more uploads fail, the uploads of other files performed in that File Request are also…

Box File Request - Limit number of files and/or file type for upload zones
When creating a file request for a folder, we would like to have the ability to limit the number of files able to be uploaded in an upload zone from the standard 500 uploads. It would also be ideal to limit the type of files that are able to be uploaded. For example, if we wanted a customer to upload document x in pdf format, we could use these limitations to ensure they upload in the correct format and all in one file, instead of uploading 20/30 png photos of the document we request. While we can provide guidelines on…

File Request's new email notification format is a step backwards - it doesn't tell us the email address of the uploader (but it used to)
A few months ago, the format for the email notification would show the email address of an uploader that used the "file request" feature.
The updated format has LESS information, now it simply says that "someone" uploaded a file. Go back to the prior version which showed the email address of the uploader.

Add TeX as a supported file type
Much of my lab's documentation is written in LaTeX, or even vanilla TeX.
It would be incredibly useful to have .tex in the list of recognized
file types so that they can be displayed and/or edited in the browser
