This is not planned for the short-term roadmap. We will reconsider with additional customer demand.

The original posting for this is from 2016. Data residency requirements have been a thing for years now. How has this not been addressed by Box?
As another customer stated (2 years ago!!) if Box does not take care of this, someone else will and will take Box's customers due to this growing legal and compliance requirement.

I think this is very demanding because the collaborations overseas are getting more and more important, if box do not plan ahead, someone else would.

Our company has also encountered similar problems. There are many files that need to be shared with customers in mainland China, but the customers tell us that they cannot access this content. Unless using a VPN network.
