Auto-Generated/System Generated Folder Creation via API
Currently, if your enterprise settings have the 'Restrict Content Creation' setting as enabled, it also stops any root level folders appearing that are generated by Box, such as the "My Sign Requests folder"
My understanding is that this folder's existence makes it so a user doesn't have to specify a folder for the sign request to go into. However, the lack of this folder existing makes it so that you do need to specify a folder for each request. We have many users who would prefer that all of their sign requests are present in the same folder, that leaves me with two current options:
1) Make a new folder for everyone; as well as any future users who get provisioned
2) Perform the following actions for everyone that we want the folder to exist for:
a) Perform a managed log in for an affected user
b) Start a Sign Request
c) Back out of the request to generate the folder
d) Log out of the managed log in instance
Then after performing that for everyone, we would re-enable the 'Restrict Content Creation' setting again.
It would have been ideal if we could use the API to generate any of these types of system-generated folders, such as My Sign Requests, My Box Notes, My Canvases, etc. even if the root level creation is restricted to admins.
