This is a change with the new UI. These features were available in old UI.

Update the "Updated" field for a file on the web app when that file gets renamed
This field does get updated when renaming a folder, but not a file. When editing a file, it also gets updated. The behavior should be consistent for all action types.

Custom Terms of Service - write in name to accept
We are wondering if Custom Terms of Service response option would change, where the end-users would have to accept CToS by writing in their name instead of checking off a checkbox.
This may be a GDPR requirement going forward.

Save the last view option in message tab
The message tab is always defaulted to Unread "https://cloud.app.box.com/notifications/unread".
For users who rely on other views (e.g.: Incomplete tasks) it would be easier if message tab would show what the user uses last instead.

Turn off notifications for FTP connections
The ability to turn off notifications for FTP connections (Box sees them as a "new connection" so you get an email for every session).
The only way to turn it off is to disable all "new connection" notifications (which we do not allow, nor do we want).

Ability to upload hundreds or thousands large files at once
Since this is understandable behaviour, it would be great if the app could tell the user to limit the amount of documents.

Remove Last Updated By for Root Salesforce Folder
Since our root SFDC folder is owned by the Box Service Account and our users are collaborators on it, anytime a user modifies something in that folder their name appears as someone that accessed/modified it.
This is creating worry in our network because Advisor 1 is led to believe that Advisor 2 has access to his/her files, which is not the case. Advisor 2 may have just accessed their own files within that parent folder.
Is it possible to remove this column entirely from our view or change the sort by something else so names do not appear?

Show 'unique user' numbers for access stats
Show an additional value in the access stats where you count 'unique previewers/downloaders', where it's possible to id a previewer or downloader.
Currently if 1 person previews a document 20 times, the access stats say 20.
If I've sent a link to 20 clients, the current behaviour makes it difficult to easily tell how widely read my document is.

Want client document checklist for uploads
Sharefile has a checklist feature which is really important for audits. If we need certain forms, we want an easy checklist that will notify both the internal and external party which form is missing.

Increase number of folders in move/copy window
This is currently at 500 folders. Over 500 folders and we have to search. New folders take 15 minutes to index in a Search.

Allow full customization of the URL for Box.
Many "non-box user" companies in Japan block access to box.com in their firewalls.
Those companies that are unable to share files with these companies as a result.
If the URLs can be customized to not include box.com, they could bypass this problem.

Have a option to display [Yes/No] confirmation before uploading.
It's useful to be able to upload easily, but on the contrary users may upload the files where they don't intend.

Option to Hide Last Update Information on content
It is overwhelming when trying to find documents because not only are you looking for the name of the document but you have to visually sift through the "Updated on Nov. 16, 2016 by John Smith" under every single file.
It would be great if Box could either make it an option to hide this (and maybe just hover over the document to see this information) or if it was moved to the right like it is in a regular Shared Drive.

Allow direct download links to excel sheets
Issue: User wants to be able to add direct download links to excel sheets (set to people in the company) and have the built-in Excel browser (I think it's a mini version of IE on Windows) recognize an authenticated browsing session
What currently happens:
User inserts/clicks on link > new window pops up > user must authenticate box account > content is inserted into excel correctly
If the user closes the document and reopens it > clicks on the link > the window pops up again > user has to select Part of company X? Continue > then it populates…

Move Custom Footer + Custom Support Info Back to Footer, Not '?' Icon
In the Legacy UI, the Custom Footer and Custom Support Contact Info (as configured in Enterprise Settings -> Custom Setup) both appeared (logically) in the actual footer of the webapp.
In the new UI, these items were moved into the '?' that's actually in the header.
REQUEST: Move these items back to the footer - or at least the Custom Footer fields - likely in the bottom left of the webapp when the left sidebar is expanded.

Add Mac package support to Box files accessed via the iOS Document Picker
On iOS, we're using UIDocumentPickerViewController along with the UIDocumentPickerModeOpen to save and later edit files 'in place.'
Unfortunately box.com converts document bundles to zip files without further notice on the file extension. This breaks any attempt to open and edit files 'in place' on iOS and on OS X.

Users delete their file unintentionally. This could be a challenge for us in day-to-day operations.

While all our products are available in Brazilian Portuguese, adding support for European Portuguese is something that is currently not on our immediate roadmap. -
File type icons need to be different between audio and video files.
In the new Web App, audio and video files have the same icon, whereas in the legacy interface- the icons were different.
This is small but extremely important since we need to be able to see those differences from a quick glance and this is preventing the rest of our account from moving into the new UI.

File downloads should be counted in reporting/access stats when the enclosing folder is downloaded as a whole
Consider Folder A with subfolders AA, AB, and AC.
10 files named "1" through "10" in each subfolder.
If folder "A" is downloaded, none of subfolders/files are counted in usage logs or access stats. They should be counted as "downloaded".
